No point taking half measures:
i) Go fixed
ii) Remove brakes
iii) Cut down risers until there's just enough grip left to wrap your index fingers around
iv) Clips/straps/clipless are for nodders - use platforms, but cut them down to the width of your big toe
v) Wear massive headphones, but beef them up by wearing earplugs as well
vi) Never take your eyes off your phone whilst riding (the bars are just for show)
vii) Any chainring smaller than 50t, or any sprocket bigger than 15t is baby stuff
viii) Never ride in a straight line for more than 20m
ix) Never give way to anyone
x) Make sure your reach from saddle to bars is less than the width of your handspan. You left out the open shirt hanging out of pants over a t-shirt look, uneven haircut and skidding at every opportunity.

'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' - I was dreading this film, but I wanted to see it. Though I hadn't read the book, I had a good idea about the story so was a little switched off to it. But actually it is really good.
'The Hunter' - Willam Dafoe's film about a hunter hired to catch a Tazmanian Tiger. I really liked this.
'The Cold Light of Day' - Was okay, a bit predictable. Good to see Sigourney wielding a machine gun again after so long. Willis is in it but only in a supporting capacity this one is all about the young 'un - shame he isn't such a good actor. I don't even know his name.
'Catch 44' - Another Willis movie - again a bit part. But this one is saved in the sense that is only 84 minutes long and Malin Ackerman is in it. Ok Forrest Whittaker is also in it and he is probably the real highlight.A bit meh to be honest.
Re-watched a whole bunch off films over the bank holiday including Inception and Drive. I want to see Headhiunters - the minute I say its swedish and subtitled no one want to go. So I will be cringing through Battleship tonight. Rihanna best be good!

The Coen Brothers never make conventional comedies which is probably what pissed ya'll off about Big Lebowski and Burn After Reading. I think they're brilliant and darkly funny. If you hated them don't watch A Serious Man which I liked. I'd think of their films as amusing and generally good films rather than comedies
'A Serious Man' is quite different it is way darker, even more so than Fargo. I liked it too, but it clear that some off it went right over me at the time. Interestingly I just read a review for it on IMDB. Clearly I need to go read up on some physics before watching it again.

In time: Justine Timberland futuristic dystopia, everyone stops aging at 25, time is currency, you buy and sell stuff using the time you have left, runs out, you die.
Really shit and obvious '99%' bollocks. On top of that JT is just such a crap actor. I only watched it because Olivia Wilde is in it, what a waste too.
What, like 'burn after reading'? I wanted to burn out my eyes after watching.
'Burn After Reading' is great that film. Typically good Coen brothers. The two scenes that stand out for me. Brad Pitt getting killed, and the sex toy scene. John Malcovich going crazy at the end is pretty good too.

Just a couple of quick points - the law hasn't changed yet. It is just a proposal and it hasn't even been made formally. If you remember back to 2009 when they tried to create central database of every communication the ISPs basically said it wasn't possible to monitor all their subscribers because of the associated cost and technical complexity. Funnily enough that move was opposed by the Conservative Party.
However back in 2009 the EU directive for ISPs to store all call info, email and internet access came into force. The important thing is there was never any remit about storing the actual content, just the fact you visited a site or sent MrX an email.
This time round it sounds like they are increasing the powers that law enforcement have with accessing the content associated with your interation. Now the BBC article I have linked below uses the term 'real time' which technically is infeasible. The best they can do is see your requests, then piece together your interactions.
Think of it like 'The Wire' but on a grand scale, which again is the problem. No one can monitor everything!
Now I'm not saying don't rush to use some proxy service or don't encrypt your drives. (I do encrypt one of my drives, and I use Tor on occasion.) But I have a feeling this proposal is not going anywhere.
Not all politicans are going to support such a move, plus now that this information about such a proposal is public people will be writing articles and posting on forums about it.

As it turns out I don't need the longer seatpost. I went into Putney Cycles and got re-measured and it turns out I don't need to tweak anything. Perhaps its just my knee being funny again.
The guy in the shop also pointed out my pedal was looking a little loose. Typical really since he mentioned it yesterday I have noted it get looser over the course of a day. Rather than getting the standard pedals I was thinking of getting some touring pedals, the ones with SPD on one side, and a platform on the other side. Is anyone else using such a pedal on their brompton? I was thinking the Shimano PDM324

Any other recommendations or gotchas I need to be aware off?

I went with the S type as the M type felt a little noodly, mudguards because Idon’t want spray on my clothes, -7% SS, a telescopic seat and raw lacquer because I’m a tart.
I'm going to switch to the telescopic seatpost too. Not got around to ordering it yet. I was also looking at putting a smaller rear sprocket to up the gearing. I'm still in two minds about it.
Haven’t selected luggage yet, It’s a bit of a rip off though. Any advice? Has anyone adapted a normal bag to fit into the clip thing?
I have meant to get the front rack attachment and then use an old messenger bag. But to be honest I have just been using my messenger bag as per normal.
Grips are the first thing I'll change.
Be warned, the grips are well stuck on and you will need some good cleaner to remove the excess gloop of glue!
Which grips did you put on to replace the stock ones? I ask because I have minor tear on the right side, whilst I like spongy-ness of the Brompton ones. Was after something more textured like say the Oury grips. Obviously the Oury's won't wrap around.
New Brompton Toolkit

I want one of those toolkits too. I never got a pump with my Brompton was I supposed to?

My friend was actually at the party where Billie Piper gained the moniker 'Chazbaps'
I have never heard that term till now. Just googled it and urban dictionary's definition was the top hit.
French movie- Brotherhood of the wolf. Wicked but avoid the dubbed version
+1 to Brotherhood of the Wolf. Most of the french films I would suggest have already been mentioned. Except for another Jeunet and Tautou collab - 'A Very Long Engagement' which I quite liked. Can't say how good it is for learning french.

My steamroller with the new bars and pedals - still haven't put on the mudguards.
