I saw Elysium at the weekend too - didn't think it was amazing just ok. Matt Damon was totally wasted in it. Don't get me started on Jodie Foster - good concept. Just badly executed. Neill Blomkamp has already said there is not going to be a District 10 - which is sad. District 9 was just so good,

I think the hollywood effect is going to cut his career short. Box office wise the movie is not doing too badly though - so Matt Damon wins again.

The A217 is more uphill than downhill, plus on a saturday afternoon is will be busy as hell.

Ok, so now that we have an idea of how we are getting there what about getting back?

Are people riding back, or is the plan to take the train back. Redhill to Clapham Junction runs in at £8.70 - trains leave every 10 minutes, and take 20-30 minutes depending on which train you get.

It is a great idea for a ride, have been looking to do something like this before. Only problem is that I am away that week :-(

@number6 - whilst you are looking for CC frames you might also consider looking for secondhand Kaffenback frames. Which other people have mentioned too. The 2012 version supports road brakes - something I wish my CC could do. It is a shame that Planet X have changed the 2013 to make it disc only. Having said that I did get a offer email yesterday for a fully built up Kaffenback for £799 the other day. With Tiagra drivetrain and shifters plus BB7 brakes.

Mands only just seen this thread. Glad you had a good time there. My brother used to live there 10 years ago, I visited a couple of times. Vasa museum and the ferry ride were my favourites too.

I just remembered the Modern Art Museum was good too.

Indeed - I remember you just showing up at the marathon ride, because some other forumunger talked you into doing the ride.

Just had a little look at the route. Brighton Road stretch from Cheam to Tadworth is pretty busy on a saturday. Plus its a long climb too. Tanya will PM a possible alternative section of the route.
