Try ridewithgps though I use the app to follow routes only, I do the authoring on a computer via the browser. Works very well. Garmin does work way better in terms of battery life - but for 50/60Km trips should be fine. Store route offline, switch of 3G, dim screen and it should be ok.

I can see that being really annoying with my knees hitting it all the time. Likewise it could slip, would rather have something positioned like a tri-bag at the front of the top tube. But being only half the length of the top tube. Much like what Apidura already do, but perhaps a little bigger.

That was my requirement last year. But I could not find anything light enough or suitable enough. I liked the idea of the Stratosphere but ~£120 it was too expensive. I looked at the Gossamer too. Both of these are Bivvy tents, but something about them both put me off. I looked at Gelert Solo (cheap and very well reviewed tent.) but not really 3-season from what I can tell.
I whittled it down to between the Solitaire Aluminium (£70) and the Zephyros 1 Tent (£100). Went for the Zephyros 1, but then my plans changed so I cancelled my order. But I will be ordering it very soon! Youtube has some great video review and setup guides.

Funnily enough I decided to go for the Zephyros 1 instead, which is a cheaper copy of the Laser Comp 1. I changed my mind basically because I wanted to be able to sit up easily, and the added porch also seemed like a good idea.

That is a really neat idea. I think I have some pipe clips lying about actually might give this a try tomorrow.

I don't mind them, but face paints don't really work on me. As a child I wanted a tiger face, instead I looked like a sick bear :-(
