Sorry yes just remembered to measure them, they're 400mm with the usual 25.4mm clamp.
And they are exactly these ones, although the bars don't say cro-mo the website does and they certainly have a cro-mo look to them. http://www.tokyofixedgear.com/products/121-Handle-Bars---Drops/1304-Nitto---B123-Steel-Drop-Bars---Silver/And when I say there's no scratches in bright light you can see fine abrasions but that seems to be the natural finish, I was nosing around TFG earlier and they were all like that. Beautifully shiny but not an absolute mirror finish.
Oh why my little T-Rex limbs !

Lovely polished steel Nitto B123's in perfect condition, no marks or scratches. Never taped in fact barely ridden, bought from Tokyo Fixed after years of risers but it seems my little northern arms can't get used to them so back to risers it is.
About 20 miles use tops, still got the £55 price tag on so £36 sounds fair.
Collect from Lewisham or I can meet at Lewisham mainline for simplicity (10 minutes from London bridge) Or on a weekend I could buzz up to that London Town Centre.
Dibs then pm.

This place reckon they can do decals. Told them I wante a super thin clear vinyl sticker with two colour graphics of my own design to mount between a stove enamel and final lacquer on a steel frame. Genuinely understood what I meant which was nice so I'm off there on monday to see what they can do. Don't know the cost till they see the work but it's about 800 yards away so no biggie.

For the record it's a Young's frame which will have the period correct head badge transfer reading 'handbuilt in Lewisham' so my seat tube will have "Rebuilt in Lewisham January 2012' then a small design that reads WITH LOVE then 'quarante annees' underneath. Sounds iffy but looks the nuts. Friend is a graphic designer so he's created a font for LOVE and at my request used rotis serif for the other text.
Same as Peter Saville used on the cover of New Orders Regret. Cause I'm northern. My wife is 40 in Jan and it's her present from me.
2 questions
is there somewhere in London to get personalised decals made?
what would your personalised decals say?
i lack imagination so mine might just be name in script

www.shiply.com is surprisingly simple and cheap. You say what and where then couriers bid by email to get the job. Premise being that someone will be doing a run from a to b in a week or so anyway and has room on their van. I had a massive piece of furniture brought 200 miles for £27 the other day, mint!

And there's my quandry. Both my boot choice for winter are on this page. Grenson Fred and Red wing Beckman. Prefer the Fred in smooth hide with the leather sole (The vibram version, I'd rather eat my knees) but do a lot of street miles in all weathers. Beckman is rubber and leather but big dorra and unlined. Fred will go to sale and will not destroy my feet. But do I get the commando sole version for them harsh Lewisham streets, or will triple leather hold up? Or should I just get 3 pairs of Kickers CAUSE I'M NORTHERN ?
quite like the look of these in walnut with commando sole for winter

The Youngs frame is lovely although the fairly recent paintjob is mint it is going up to Mario Vaz (He did the last re-spray!) next week for some needless expense. "I don't want this bike to look like yours!" is the rule so my dark purple Olmo sits too close in both our eyes. Ubiquitous ral 6019 is the route I'm taking then kind of period town bike for the bits. Box section rims, gumwall tyres, brooks etc... Oddly for such a compact frame 52/53 the clearances are huge and mudguard eyelets point to a more relaxed previous life ergo a simple and comfortable build is planned.
Even odder Mario reckons the frame probably is a Holdsworth as they built a lot of 531's for Youngs down the years and as he was in their paintshop during this time there's a chance this will be the 3rd time he's coloured it. A tiny tiny chance.
And oh, it was more than £119 but less than £121 if that makes things any better.
Nice to see how you bring your Holdsworth to life.......
Damn! That is lovely, and what I've been looking for for the lady friend also!
Perfect paintjob! And sounds like good tubing, tell me you paid a lot of money for it to appease my jealousy :pI encouraged my gf to buy this for £100

I was informed that 501 tubing isn't the best in terms of weight, but in the real this frame looks lovely, well constructed and paintjob is great.
It's 54cm seat tube though so it may be just too big for her unfortunately :( we'll see when it's built up a little more -

Sainsburys are just price establishing obsessed fucktards. So if a litre of Baileys is now half price at a tenner that must mean that a week or two ago it was £20. Twenty quid for a litre of Baileys !!!!! Actual conversation with man in Londis last night: "How much is your litre of Baileys?"
"13.99"
"Is that on a deal?"
"No, it's always £13.99. I mean like ALWAYS."
"So it's never er, say £20?"
"Don't be fucking stupid, how on earth could you charge £20 ? You wouldn't fucking sell any."Sainsburys, price manipulating cock wipes.

Aww fuck it, I'm going to buy this bike AND these Hi-Tec Squash you speak of then ride it into London town centre and just leave it somewhere. Never look back. Have me away like some fleet footed nymph of the glade. I got the money, I got the balls and when I shake off this acute gastritis I'm gonna have the energy. Have you ??? (That's a question to everyone, nobody specific.)

Same situation for me, picked up an old frame that took 27's. 700c look fine but give me a drop of 65mm, so I need these...... http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/tektro-tektro-r556-caliper-brake-55-73-mm-very-deep-drop-nut-fitting-prod73/?src=froogle They're a bolt fitting which sounds like the mount you need.
I considered sourcing 27's but that limits tyre choice so I'll brave in with long brakes.
