The much more agreeable Diarra to Spurs Rumour seems good.
However, I got the impression the Diarra had played himself into the Real Madrid team now. As far as defensive midfielders / utility full backs go, he'd be a steal and he's got a good relationship with 'Arry from the past.
I wish Jol was coming back to Spurs.

So here's the head to head on Freidel and Gomez
@OptaJoe: H2H - Friedel v Gomes Conceded 59-39,
Clean Sheets 7-7,
Saves/game 2.8-3.7,
Save % 64%-74%,
Catch success 96%-96%,
Errors 2-5. Comparison.Yes Gomez makes some big errors, which is what sticks in peoples minds, and they've all cost particularly badly against Spurs. However statistically he's by far the better keeper, and at 30 he has age on his side.

Villa aren't the best team in the Midland, Everton aren't the best team in Liverpool.
Two teams, that are lucky if they're top of the billing on MOTD let alone the league or popularity contests.
As for which one is a selling club, they both are! Villa more so than Everton though.
Milner, Barry, Young, Downing, etc etc etc

Diarra transfers are picking up steam. RM have signed Nuri Sahin, and Diarra talks up a want to return to Premier League, and thinking of Pompey time as his favourite period.
