Dear peoples,
my plan is to cycle to my grandparents who live in the south of France in summer and I am in the process of builing a tourer to do that.. To finish it's part list, I am in search of two rather specific items, being;
a)a Shimano Ultegra 6500(?)/6503 front derailleur. It's the one for triple/compact. I stupidly declined buying it paired with the long cage Ultegra rear derailleur I bought yesterday at Stalen Ros thinking the older Shimano 600 6400 front derailleur would suffice. It already bugged me when I sat in the bus on the way back home, hence this search.. I'd need either band on 28,6mm or braze on, since I have a loose band on thingy..
b)9 speed Shimano (compatible) bar end shifters.. To my knowing they only produced those under Dura Ace branding, but Ultegra would also suffice..
There are some of these items on el fleebay, so I'll probably be able to get them anyway, but I'd prefer getting off of here.. Seller must be willing to post to the Netherlands, since that's where I live..
Thanks in advance!
Cheers, Ruud

Loafheads, excuse me for not PM'ming, I intended to PM when endorsing my dibs.. He's informed me he's been checked in a hospital for a few days so wouldn't be able to handle it by himself.. I'll try to contact him to suggest me handling it for him but feel free to sell it if someone else knocks on your door.. Cheers anyway..

that is lovley, the geometry looks like its a great fun to ride. and good news you finally found a good british track frame after all the waiting!! Ive finally finished my commuter and im contemplating a london to brighton ride, mabe.
It is indeed.. Gazelle pages even says: "possibly the pinnacle of steel framebuilding"..;) It is 731OS with noblex stainless steel rear and fork.. It is probably one of the earliest, since there is no internet recollection of them having curved forks, but it is indeed noblex seeing the dropouts.. Rear clearance is very thin.. It now sports Dura Ace 8sp with Rigida dp18 wheels, 18spokes front/24 rear.. I'm contemplating changing that to 8 speed record/chorus, with the biggest headbraker being then having to swap this wheelset for 32h Mavic CXP30 on Chorus hubs.. Also very nice,but I just like bladed spokes since I gain extra instant cool factor which makes me notably faster.. It rides a dream and is a perfect fit..
Cool "commuter" btw, looks like it really is fit for purpose..;) Timetrial that Brompton tiewearing folk! Nice paint, really nice wheelset, very nicely kitted out!
I like the Dolan very much too.. Next idea is to do something subtle with the Dolan branding.. Either translucent stickers or maybe etching the aluminium.. And shimmer down on the sheer amount of branding they normally get slapped with.. But I'll have to get potatoshopping on that idea..

cheers ruud, how goes? i'll also post a picture once its all done. im still waiting for my trip over the pond, people still throwing away decent steel over there??
Quite good.. Sun is shining, aching to ride, need to go to class.. FML.. They do actually, we have a luxury problem.. Weird thing is, I now ride British aluminium.. Although I've treated myself in the meantime also with a some dutch goodness.. (apologies for badbadbad images) Looking forward to the result!

@Schnitter.. I did once manage to dodge that by changing my address into a bogus English one.. Responded swiftly when I won the auction to explain my deeds and needs: seller had no prob whatsoever to ship it to me (Netherlands)..
