You were right it was a bit of bugger, I think made worse by new seals.
I have done it before and my memory tells me it was much easier.

Hi yes London based. An interesting idea about the container and maybe something for the future. The needs at the moment seem to be money to buy stuff that’s available from basic foods and then moving forward it will be construction materials. Many people are still staying in temporary accommodation, with little access to basic such as water and food.
There is also a good Colombian community in the United States who are pulling together as well.

Thanks Al, money was sent this week to both Providencia and San Andres to established charities that are based on the islands. We aim to continue supporting them for the foreseeable.
We personally, not from the go fund me have sent money to an old friend, who is organising Christmas Present for children who have been left homeless.
Not much has changed it will be a slow process to bring life back to normal.

My wife is from the islands and things are not good nor recovering quickly, if you can help please do.

The disc brakes came along in 1981 and are certainly better and easier to replace, although the drums are fine they can be a pain to change and set up and I have seen it said that the handbrake is better on drums.
I am still on the original chassis which has had some work, the chassis on the 70s and earlier cars don't seem to suffer as much as the more modern ones.

Slow and rattle is quite fitting.

I have a feeling that the taxation system may change to include a road user charge as recently introduced on hgvs and that is likely to include everything.
There is also a fair chance that the rolling 40 year classic vehicle exemption will come to an end and revert too a fixed date as previous.

I don’t really expect the exemption to last indefinitely, but it makes you think.

ULEZ seems destined to change the vehicles we see around London, mine at the moment is destined to be exempt, but so many 80s, 90s & 00s will have to disappear.
