When was the last time the tour was as exciting as this? Even the supposedly boring stages have been excellent. Next year will have to be some race to be more exciting than this one.

Any explanation about what happened to Kiriyenka? He was pulling most of the way on climbs at Crit Int and Dauphine. Siutsou notable by his absence as well.

Siutsou looked immense in the one race I saw of him (I think crit. intl.). Did a huge turn on the front in a mountain stage and shelled almost everyone out the back. Surprised not to have seen him smashing it more in this tour.

Sharkpits and serotta at st pauls at 10-30 this morning.

Commute is only 6 miles each way but I figure the course is reasonably flat and with 20k entrants there should be no lack of big groups to hide in. Am reasonably confident that provided I eat and drink properly it should be doable.

I am in for this. Just rode my bike for the first time in a year, to and from work.
Am hoping 3 weeks of commuting will be enough training for this.

Seems to be picking up today from where things left off yesterday. GC group already getting pretty small and still tons more climbing. Presumably there will be an degree of regrouping on the valley roads but sounds brutal
