Called the scoombers just now. Outside court, after 6, with lights is £23.15 per hour. They will entertain block bookings so I assume there is a saving to make there if we can work something out and the courts are suitable. I suggest we book a couple of hours, see what its like and take it from there. This is obviously in addition to any other ideas people have.
Works out at £3.86 per person per hour assuming there are 6 of us. If numbers increase cost goes down.
I suggest we start collecting subs when we play and put towards funds for hiring the court.

Did we ever talk about getting a local shop/business to sponsor? All we would need would be the cost covered for the hire, or 50% paid. Long shot I know but worth a go? Think of big local businesses, Donatello and the like.
Also the scoombe centre could be good with the floodlit outdoor courts, would be cheaper too

FOR SALE: Pashley Tourmaster Tandem
Selling as I have not used it since I bought it a couple of years ago. Been stored in a mates garage which now has no room left so it needs shifting. I have no room for it in my house so it needs to go.
NOTE: Picture not the actual one, I will nip over to the garage soon and take some pics and will detail spec. It is the same model in a similar condition.
Anyone interested please PM, no dibs please. Pick up from Brighton, viewings welcome PM me for details. Postage can be arranged by buyer if required but its pretty chucky so I'd imagine this wouldnt be an economical option :)
£250
Thanks,
Rich

I will be there normal time.
Danny - I registered the team but each player needs to fill out a form. Also it will be aimee and me driving down so its not just me and an empty car :) I'll be taking a bike for her too for romantic trips down the gorge plus all the gear so no room for extras. Sorry dude! Also we are going with Yellow for team colour right?

Also, people who have 135 forks (retards) and have a 'spare' freewheel on there, it's dangerous having the freewheel mounted on the side of your front wheel.
Milwaukee did this a while back and it really puzzled me, how often does the freewheel fail? Also IF the freewheel did fail and you whacked it on the front you would still need another rear to replace the busted one. Am I missing something??

Why are you having canti mounts added to your frame Rich? Just to keep modding?
Partly :) but mainly because the calipers just arent efficient enough. Ultimately I will buy a new frame but I havent seen anything I like yet. Its likey to be 14 co custom or something like that but that means saving the dollar first. This way I can mod the frame into something more suitable for now. I like the frame, a couple of geo issues but I dont want to get a substitute that I wont be happy with only to get the custom bike later on down the line.
Plus I have wrist pain from the lever, I have finessed the brakes as much as poss but its just not working anymore. All your bikes with V brakes are crazy efficient and I want the stopping power! Pulling those calipers hurts. Also its about the same price as two sets of those bolt on ones anyway, and will work better.

Dropping the bike down to the lovely people at Enigma bikes near Pevensy tomorrow morning to have the canti mounts brazed on. Will let you know how I get on. I also enquired about bespoke polo frames. They said that they had already had a request and had drawn up the geo. I have requested the geo from them. I will take a look and see what the prices etc of the build will be
