Hi. Really nice Mercian.
Disassemble this bike and sell the components individually or at least in small batches (cranks, remover and rings, say, then levers and brakes, deraillieurs and shifters ... you get the idea ...) to get the price you seek.
Some of the parts on there are really desirable, as is the frame & forks in such nice condition. For instance, that stem doesn't belong on that bike. Sell it to someone building a beautiful Condor, bob's your Uncle.
GLWS.
Totally agree with Skully you get more for the parts than the whole bike GLWS

Hi
Can you help me identify what this frame is?
It is very light so I think it is 753 or similar tubing. The lugs have cut outs; the seat stays are very nicely finished; nice sloping fork crown and drilled rear ends.
I had it at the Manchester bike jumble and somebody thought it maybe a Raleigh.
Any ideas would be welcome.
Thanks

Raleigh SBDU frame disguised as a Brian Rourke
I have recently put this frame on eBay as a Brian Rourke when somebody came back to me saying that it was not a Brain Rourke frame on closer inspection I realise that the frame number is SB6993 and possible a Raleigh SBDU frame, a Raleigh "expert" has confirmed it is a SBDU frame. It is also a lot lighter than a 531 frameDoes anyone know what era it is and want colour it would have been originally. The guy I purchased off had bought it from someone in London. I have tried the yahoo group but my posting don't seem to upload.
Thank you in advance
