They’re 700c but open to changing to 27” and just selling these specialised ones. I’m trying to keep costs down hence initially just looking for a rear wheel. I also quite fancy wider tyres, maybe with that white rim.

Yes, I’d like the shifter to be up by the handlebar, so not classic.

Started looking for stuff all over and gathered these...
I’m unsure about pairing the right chainsets to the right wheels and derailleur. Actually hoping to find an 11 speed chain set, as I’ll be keeping the Campagnolo chainring as one.

Bought this bike from this forum almost seven years ago now. The guy had done a great job on it but I’m now looking to add gears. The local shop quoted a lot, more than I paid for it, so I’m going to try and find the parts myself.

I don’t know much about what parts would fit this frame but I do know I’ll need: a new wheel set that’ll take gears, a group set, a shifter (hoping to keep the crank as is). Also hoping to to keep the rack and add mudguards - ambitious perhaps. Trying to keep costs low but still good aesthetics.

Open to advise and suggestions!

Been reading a lot about this and after 15 years of riding Fixie/SS I have moved to North London and in need of gears :( I tend to carry my bike and love the lightness of my vintage steel SS. What you you recommend for this next step? I have been looking at Kona Sutra, Surly, as well as Genesis. None of these are "budget" but I'd pay for the right bike. A main objective would be to not be too heavy for carrying up stairs occasionally, to take a little bit of weight (for my pannier and with the dream that I might actually tour it someday).

Your advice would be highly appreciated!

Hi Finners, having taken some advice from the locals at LFGSS I'd be happy to drop it to £200.

Bought it on here for £250, so thought it was a fair price to include Ortlieb pannier and lock, but I am open to offers :)

Great bicycle, fantastic smooth ride. Comes with Tubus rack, replaced handlebar with a straight one and newish grips, MKS pedals, tektro brakes... It's a super bike, just surplus to needs now! I also have an Ortlieb pannier (20lt, black) and Kryptonite D lock I can throw in for the price.

Bike's in Bow, but can probably meet in nearby areas

£300 all in

I used them for a bit, then got cruisers and these have been sitting in a box...
