So a quick question from a running novice.
I've really got back into running during lockdown and have found myself starting to enjoy it again. Last week was a big week for me, the most I've ran in a week for years.
But towards the end of the week my shins were hurting, like even to the touch hurting.
Is this just volume of running or is there something in my running technique that I'm doing wrong?
I'm looking to get gait analysis done as soon as the shops open again. -

Thanks guys - I think this week will be around 25-30 miles when all is done.
I'm following some advice around running in certain HR zones opposed to just running as fast as I can and wondering why I want to be sick.@Tenderloin with lockdown I'm finding I can easily incorporate a run into my day - WFH is making it infinitely easier since theres no commute.

So since the start of lockdown I have been running a lot and to be honest I'm really starting to enjoy it. Coming from someone who 6 months ago was still smoking 10-15 cigs a day I'm really chuffed.
So how do I increase my distance gradually? I'm currently around 10k x 2 and 5k x2 a week and while my legs are sore its manageable.

I don't mind paying £1 a week to be honest- I won't miss it (not at the moment anyhow). Its almost what I'd spend on coffee for one day.
I'm more interested to see whether this means Strava is lining up for a buyout, which could be interesting if this is the likes of Garmin, since if Garmin looked to incorporate into their platform they'd really be winning. But I'd imagine if Garmin bought it surely they'd want to make it exclusive to Garmin users?
So I took a trip to the airport this morning - to drop someone off and that was a weird experience, from what she said around the flight I can only imagine it must be quite worrying for people that have to fly at the moment.
