£1 a day is a good challenge. I bet it would surprise most people what they spend on lunch and travel. Before I moved to this office I was spending £8 a day on the train and another £5 on lunch. Saving a lot being here, which is nice.
Tell you what mate, when I get a new place with the lady I'd be well up for trying the £1 a day if you fancy it?

Timbuk2 passed test number 1 - fitted a huge tiger loaf, 2 packs of donuts and a days worth of clothes. Still got the laptop partition in as well so I'll take that out and free up another 1/3 space.
Might be a bit of a cram for everything when I've got to fit shoes and helment in it as well but we shall see.

My main thing is to give up alcohol.
But I quite like Sparks idea of giving up buying dinner.
But then I also would like to give this ago for a month

I bought that ebay set and they lastest me fine through winter. I've got a couple of friends who have been riding with them for a while and have had no problems either.
