Pop around to my useless LBS (mostly bso mtb's, if you knew the area, you'd understand) with my raleigh to ask about getting a bb out - I didn't have the right tools. One of those adjustable jobby with pin wrench holes, lockring and flats on the fixed side.
'' Naa mate, we don't have those tools, if we did, it's probably seized, it'll cost £30 ''Challenge accepted!
Hammer and punch to knock the lockring off, easy, fixed side came out nicely with my headset spanner - Fit perfectly, adjustable was seized, and I had no pin spanner, so I soaked it in a mixture of gt85 and motor oil - Then used sheldon's DIY bolt method for the fixed cup in reverse + Socket set and extension bar and some force. Sweet as.

I've used those kalloy posts, they're ok but not quite as 'micro' adjustable as they say. No worse than old campag though – just worse looking.
I bought a cheapy raleigh 'micro-adjust' seatpost from ebay for my beater and the adjustment goes from too far forward to too far back - Theres no way to get it horizontal . /buy cheap buy twice

GONE
Just took the trashed cup-cone kajita bb out of my road 'project,' suprised to find it had a dura-ace BB plastic sleeve in it, you know that thing that keeps the water out - Stamped Dura Ace, Shimano Industries. No photo because it's not worth the effort to break the camera out.
Anyone got a use for it?
£1.50 paypal gift to cover P+P (item in birmingham)
edit: title maybe a little misleading, this is not a whole bb - Just the plastic sleeve /disclaimer

^ that. Could bodge for a try if it's gonna be a winter hack, but in the long run it would be worth getting it sorted properly - It's a really nice frame - Sure it's not a dawes (galaxy, super galaxy or horizon?) It's got a full complement of braze-ons would suggest proper tourer, and some dawes had internal cable routing
