Dibs suntour cyclone pedals, pm sent.

I'm unsure about the cassette size as I have never used these. Bought them with the intention of putting them on my frame but prefer vintage aesthertics. Thought I could get away with it.

The specifications are as follows:

Front Wheel

• Rim: Mavic Module-4, 700c (ETRTO 622-19.1), Double Wall, with eyelets and rim strip.
  
• Hub: Shimano Deore XT HB-M738 Parallax, 36 spoke holes, 100mm spacing, QR,
  

• Spokes: Stainless Steel, 3-Cross lacing pattern
  Rear Wheel

• Rim: Mavic Module-4, 700c (ETRTO 622-19.1), Double Wall, with eyelets and rim strip.

• Hub: Shimano Deore XT FH-M737 Parallax, 36 spoke holes, 135mm spacing, QR.

• Spokes: Stainless Steel, 3-Cross lacing pattern
  The hubs run very smooth, but both wheels will could do with truing - with the rear needing most work.

The front wheel has a 1-2mm approx side-to-side wobble. The rear has a 10mm approx side-to-side wobble as most of the spokes are loose, so will require retensioning.

Cosmetically, there are minor surface marks on the wheelset due to normal usage. Otherwise, this item is in excellent condition.

Cash on collection preferred. Post for £10 extra. Item is in Hackney London.

Having the right size wheels seems a logical thing to do but modifying bikes is part of the fun. If you were to buy one of these new carbon race frames you would find that there is about the same amount of clearance between tyre and brake. Same probelm but with a 'correctly' designed bike. You will find people having the same debates as to how to get around this. There are quite a few solutions but I wanted to see if there were any new ones here.

I reckon that I'm gonna get the crud and run them without the very front bit. That way they don';t have to go under the brakes. Spoke to crud and they said that they are designed for very tight clearance. If you can get a 5mm allen key in there they will fit. I like this very pragmatic way of measuring.

Has crossed my mind but getting a new frame for some wheels is a bit far for me right now. I want to keep the hubs with the bike as well as the whole groupo is suntour cyclone. Hmmm. Looks like I'm in a tight spot. When I get a wheel truer I'll build my own wheels, until then...

What sort of clearance do you need with these. I have 10mm between my tyre and rear brake and 5mm on the front. Too small?

Race blades don't really do anything. One of my main concerns is getting my bike covered. I don't want any grit being forced into the parts. Hopefully we'll have a good summer though and I can relax. I think I might use a crud roadace on the front as there is the least clearance there, 5mm, and they snap if anything gets caught up in them. As for the rea I've got a good 10mm of clearance so something more substantial on the back. Can sks fit into that sort of space?

Hey guys, need some help here.

I have just finished doing up my bike and ended up putting 27" wheels on a 700c frame. I know that I shouldn't but they were Wolber Super Champion rims on Suntour Cyclone hubs. Can't blame me can you.

Well now I've gone and got myself 5mm clearance between brake and tyre to fit a mudguard. Any sugestions?

I don't really want to be cutting one inhalf to go either side and would like to get one that isn't some rarity or costs a bomb. They need to be full size to. Not really into mudguards that stop your back getting muddy while your bike gets covered along with you feet and legs.

The centre clamp on the bullhorns is 26mm approx. I cannot accurately measure this though. The centre clamp looks like this.

No hoods. Its just black plastic. Pretty basic but nice looking. Be good when wired up.
