TFG is probably my fav out of the fixed gear specific shops - I don't go in there too often but when I do it's been fine, substantially better than 2 of the other notable shops of that genre. As far as bike shops as a whole go they're not quite up there with condor but they're going in the right direction for me.

Finally defeated the Hammersmith 'wind tunnel' segment yesterday at the end of my ride to West beers last night. Pretty happy about that after a relatively long day :)

The beer after that tasted goooooood
Are you the KOM on that stretch? I've been trying to do that every day on my commute (I have no problems with recording commutes) - the wind/people crossing the road thwart me almost every time!

Examples?
I got a new road bike from them, listed as having full 105 specifically listing the brakes, double chainset (specifying teeth on the chainrings too) & with higher-end 3T stem/bars/seatpost all of which made the bike look like a pretty good deal.
Bike arrived after nearly 2 weeks even though it was in stock, when chasing they just said it was "On it's way" - opened the box & it had unbranded brakes (def not 105, further research shows them to be tektro), a triple chainset that wasn't even 105 (FSA) & possibly the worst part; an integrated seat post (ie part of the frame you have to cut to size) not the specified 3T one.
When I rang to complain they were completely non-apologetic & insisted on me taking pictures even though I would assume they know what they posted - after some rather slow responses to my issues they agreed they weren't the correct parts so offered me a tiny monetary compensation or a refund - not once saying sorry & completely refusing to give me what I wanted which was just the correct brakes & chainset (I offered to fit them myself & post back the incorrect ones).
The photoshop comment was because the frame (and so integrated seat post) are white but the 3T one listed was black & in the picture on the site the bike was shown with a black seatpost.
I will not be using CRC again but obviously each to their own. I'm also not trying to get involved in the CRC vs Wiggle debate either as I'm sure people could complain about them too, there are also other shops available.

I was unimpressed when Chain Reaction gave my credit card details to someone else, and chose to try to keep it a secret.
Yes that was annoying - esp when my bank then cancelled my card because of it so I got rejected at the till in Lidl (of all places)!
Other than that, terrible customer service, lying about components on bikes & photoshopping the pictures has also made them not my favourite shop.

@Multigrooves was that aimed at me or ASL fans in general?
I was asking about them because the guy was being dangerous & acting like a prick all the way up Clapham High Street (which I've reported) but the only evidence I have of him doing something wrong is the picture I took of him to help me remember his registration plate (in which he's parked in a ASL).
-
Am I imagining it or was there a website around a while ago where you could report mopeds/scooters for using the ASL (and upload a picture)? Could someone provide the link please?
I've already reported them for the dangerous riding they were doing in the build-up to the lights but I have the feeling the police will just ignore it...

I was sworn at by a fellow cyclist for the first time today; I was in the middle of the lane, slowing down because of traffic ahead & out of nowhere a youngish chap on a black & yellow road bike undertook me in the small gap between me & the curb even though there was a load of space to my right! My response of "Nice, undertaking on the inside" was met with the raised middle finger being held aloft as he wobbled his way between the cars.
It took all my effort not to chase him down & have stern words, just made me realise how annoying some cyclists must be for drivers...

New personal best for me today, still didn't break the hour but am definitely getting closer - reckon I'll have it by the end of the summer. Could someone add me to the list please? I don't want to fuck it up...

This looks like it will be hilarious!
Having ridden on Hillingdon quite a few times (not racing but used to do a bit of weekend training on there) - I would love to have a go at racing fixed on there. No brakes would be too scary for me though.
It'll be a must watch though; depending on the direction there's either a loooong slog up a hill which starts to burn after a handful of laps, followed two short down hills with sharp corners at the bottom or the opposite way which might actually be worse with the long decent! It's going to be like watching destruction derby!

I lost it with Skyrim when I started getting bossed around by a dog that sounded like a children's TV character - the whole thing just feels like a chore now.
Someone at work has leant me Assassins Creed 2 &3 though, so they should keep me going for a bit (just hope they're not as monotonous as the 1st one).
