This morning I was behind a van approaching some lights. They went amber and so obviously the van driver put his foot down and got through on red. I stopped, but the Porsche driver behind me decided to shoot past me and through the red as well. Is there a way of reporting these things that does not involve the long and tedious police form? I got video.

Not sure if it was about there being less traffic on the roads and drivers getting over-excited as a result, but I had two chumps to bestow with some salty oaths this morning. One close pass and immediate left turn and another pointless close pass squeezing me out the way. The latter driver must have problems with his neck as he couldn't do anything other than stare fixedly ahead when I passed him 20 seconds later and asked him what that was all about. At least the first guy had the decency to give me the finger.
And more evidence that smart car and BMW 4x4 drivers need an extended retest. -

I received an email today which included a number of the usual clichés, but threw in a number of gems I had not had inflicted on me before: "data lake", "next generation influencing", "the bringing together of separately siloed expertise to drive greater impact", "leveraging our digital touch points".
I feel quite sick. -

This news story...
Number of untaxed vehicles in UK trebles after tax disc abolition
https://www.theguardian.com/money/2017/nov/16/untaxed-vehicles-uk-trebles-tax-disc-abolition-vehicle-excise-duty-dvla
...provides some ammo in the old "you cyclists don't pay any road tax" argument, though there appears to be more tedious linking of vehicle excise duty and money spent on roads, which unless I am wrong is not currently the case, though it references future linking . -

Brooks bag for sale here- I think it was the Glenbrook model. It is in overall good condition except for damage to the rear of the bag as can be seen in the close up photo. Other than that it is perfectly serviceable and all fastenings and fittings work as they should.
I can do daytimes in Holborn area, evenings/weekends in Harringay (Manor House/Turnpike Lane) or somewhere between Holborn and Harringay after work, or can post at cost.

Fackinell! That's a bit more serious than my thing this morning.
