cool - thanks. so i switched to s/s last night and that seems to be working ok. winsley hill was, erm, lovely this morning. bit tricky to go to full fixed though, unless someone can point me towards a 700c disc-brake fixed hub rear wheel...? or a means of converting my 9-speed hub to fixed i guess...

i'm in bath. i don't have a fixed gear, but i could probably convert my commuter into a s/s before the weekend - i'm guessing that it's no freehubs allowed though? :-(
