It's good they informed them at least. They were definitely workmen the one who did the cutting got straight in a digger and started cutting up the road.

Just now, workmen angle grinding the locks of the bikes locked to the railings in the roadworks at Dalston junction, they were carrying them away to their van.. No ss bikes the two i saw were beater mountain bikes but thought I'd post here anyway in case anyone wonders where the bike has gone!

Mine arrived this morning, love it!

I keep saying to myself I'll come for drinks and never making it, I am at a friend's leaving do tonight but I'm going to make an effort to make the next beers!

My jersey has been posted and should arrive tomorrow but now I'm sans bike for the weekend as a friend is servicing it for me.. Might have to wear it round the house anyway..

The bike/ lock are not usually there, I see the rack everyday so it's unlikely but I know what you mean, the locking methods used in general are fairly tragic I often get to work to find bits of cut lock lying around. (Holloway Road)

Thanks for the info. I've always wanted to go to india, now do i do a short trip or save for a longer one and get around the country.

I vote longer trip.. I was there for a month and would have loved to travel around more, the journeys between places eat the days up, 22hr train journey here, 10hr bus ride there haha!

Nice, is Goa worth a visit... on a shoestring

You can do it on the cheap I went for two weeks at the end of a one month trip to India, return flights heathrow-mumbai-goa can be found less than £500 (not in high season but everything is more expensive then) and once you get there you can live off £80-£100 a week (or much less if you eat at cheaper places and drink less booze) that's including food/accomodation/ gifts/ some beer/ trips/ anything else. Goa is easy to get about in by local bus which is super cheap. Goa is breathtaking, beautiful scenery, wildlife, food and drink and the locals were lovely too.

I need to take my bike in for a proper service, re greasing, sort my brakes, front wheel needs truing etc. but I would rather go somewhere that has a good reputation. I live in Bethnal Green so there are loads of shops nearby but I have no idea which are good and which are not so good. Are there any suggestions please!
