the handling is quick but not overly twitchy, and with a wheelbase just a bit over 900mm it can turn on a dime. it's actually quite heavy (9kg) but almost all the weight is in the tyres and wheels. the seatpost wouldn't go past the bottle bosses before so what the photo shows was the lowest it would go, but i've modified it now and it's a lot easier to handle with the saddle down lower.

i actually changed my mind on the colour last minute. i love the colour, but i've got a bianchi in celeste, so i hesitated, but it's a little small and my wife may inherit it now. that or put it on ebay japan where vintage bianchis in tiny sizes go for a mint

i just found on travelocity a volvo v70 estate for £170 all inclusive. i think my wife might come too if there was a space (she lived in lille, so could be like tour-guide type) so it would be cost/4 with only 3 bikes

i will drive if it's legal for me to do so, i'm 25 with a canadian drivers licence, but i can't put it on my card (so we'd have to pay for an additional driver)
