check for bios update!
Ive seen mobos that have gone through batteries in a few months, replaced it with new, gone again in a few months. PC was built fine, for some reason it just went through batteries. fault somewhere with the board, as far as returns go it wouldn't have been classed as faulty though..

Would be a weird way of putting it, steerers always measured in ", mm for bars. weird innit.
Probably hes just going for the retro look, risers are retro right? everyone used risers with quill stems back in the day. or needs them really narrow and fit a small diameter brake lever but the 31.8mm bulge would get in the way.
31.8 quill stems arnt that common.

Other half fell asleep having started running a bath. We were alerted by the fire alarm downstairs going off as the flooding had got into the alarm. Visible water has been mopped up, is there anything else we ought to do? A couple of light fittings and the alarm are dripping water.
get a bath with one of them overflow things?

Lian Li all the way. classy brushed aluminum.
If you're studying your PC is pretty much idle? just turn the fans off, if your heatsinks are good enough then they it should be fine. if not then get better heatsinks. anti vibration mounts on HDDs, case feet.
Buy one of them tiny atom based PCs that run on less than a light bulb?

with weather looking at some rain and christmas fast approaching with stuff still to do I'll have to call it off as well. Tum and KJ will be down from manny to rep though. Looks like you'll get the players, I'd rather give the place away now than wait til tommorow to figure I dont have the time nor money.
Scott can be replaced on the list. Have a good bench tourney, christmas and a happy new year

heard that happen before, it was a ghosting / data recovery machine, had been running for most a week, but we had like 6 fans daisy chained to the PSU, they were stock antecs with a small controller built into the cable. slightest move in any of the switches and the machine would just power off. Not sure on it myself, but pretty sure its just a psu design.
tl;dr. get a separate fan controller to handle them.
it works in onboard sound? if realtek recognises it and assigns it as mic then dont see much of a problem. check the mic is switched on if it has a switch. fiddle in recording devices? uninstall driver and get the latest?
