Low end servers are basically the same as desktops.
It's only when you start needing redundant power supplies, hard disks, multiple CPUs or you need a dozen servers in the same rack that it starts making sense to spend extra. Or if you already have loads of servers of a similar spec and you need to be able to more easily manage things.
But if it's just a one off and it'll sit under a desk somewhere then you could probably get away with the desktop. -
Just got some of these

How flat is your ceiling? I did the same with an Ikea wardrobe and had a few mm spare. Then when the door opened it caught on the ceiling a foot from the wall where the height was slightly uneven. Ended up shaving a bit off the corner of the door to let it open.
But yeah, it'll work, you might just need to build in place. -
My experience using it in the gym at times may have skewed my view. I've tried to get it recording HR and end up doing something like burpees and the watch reckons I'm sitting at 100bpm rather than the 170 it probably is. But that's a lot more erratic movement than you'd get running normally.
@Greenbank that was my plan too. I had the 920 and used it for triathlon. I wanted the geeky stats throughout the day and to log commutes without having to faff with a chest strap. I still use the chest strap for most runs and longer bike rides. Only way to record HR when swimming is with one of the chest straps that records as you swim and uploads to the watch later. Can't get a real time view even with the strap as it doesn't transmit in water.
Fenix 5 felt massive. I don't like big watches and the Fenix wouldn't fit under a buttoned shirt cuff. The 935 is appreciably smaller and more discreet. I really like it actually. -
Fenix 5 on the way. Freedom from HR strap finally...
'fraid not. I have a Forerunner 935. You'll still need a chest strap when running if you want consistent readings when running. The optical HR doesn't always respond quickly to changes of pace. Decent but not great.
Also, unless you're planning to show the watch off, I'd suggest the 935 over the Fenix 5. They're the same innards, but the 935 is smaller and lighter. I ordered both initially and returned the Fenix.

Was there any political or ideological motivation for the Vegas attack? If not then it's mass murder but not terrorism.
(Happy to be corrected, I've not followed the story recently, and also not to say I don't get the white guy = lone wolf, brown guy = terrorist trope. I also suspect I shouldn't stick my nose in when I haven't followed the story much)

Any reason not to get a new 5 year fix?
Currently on a tracker that's at 1.49% with no penalties or fees for leaving. LTV is about 35% so I can get a decent offer. Looks like I can get about 1.8% for 5 years with no overpayment charges, fees and it could be ported if I moved.
So I should just do that right? Interest rates are going up a bit soon... -
If there is a better example of a cottage garden in E17 than the one that greets you as you walk up the front path to this old forester’s cottage, then frankly we haven’t seen it.
That's not a particularly impressive opening. They might just have seen one cottage garden.
Ah, there's a tagline for the site too. It's a Walthamstow thing.

Rocking horse shit ordered from Merlin. Interesting that they only make one cassette that'll work on both MTB and road hubs.
Much appreciated!
