The job desc is generic enough that it's worth applying for to find out more. Unless you've left out a line that says you need a PhD and 5 years of quant research then I don't think there's anything there to be concerned about yet.
-hmmm
As long as you know enough to know what to google then you're good. Knowing what you're looking for and how to phrase the question is more important than knowing the answer. And you've not asked stupid questions on this thread.

I'm not sure how they were ever a rip off of Revolut.
Revolut's USP is that they allow you to hold balances in more than one currency at once.
Monzo never professed to allow you to do this, it just didn't charge for withdrawals abroad, which they do now.I like that Monzo instantly updates when I spend money, I like that it categorises things automatically. I like the ability to freeze the card from the app if it's lost/nicked. I like that when I needed a customised PDF report for my mortgage that I could chat to someone on the app and got something emailed over the next morning.
So I see them as competing with high street banks rather than solely with other challenger banks. -
Pondering selling my gaming PC. Anyone have an idea what the going rate for a not new but still damn quick machine is.
Main points are...
i7-3770k (4 core, 8 thread), happily running at ~4GHz with an aftermarket heatsink/fan
GeForce 980Ti
32GB RAM
512GB Samsung 850 SSDAll the rest is good kit too, Antec P182 case, PSU is an 80% efficient 750W (OCZ Silencer I think)
Bit of googling suggests the CPU is around 70% as fast as the latest and greatest 8700k, and the 980Ti is around 70% as fast as latest and greatest 1080Ti.
So, ballpark, 70% as quick as a £2k PC (which sadly doesn't mean I could expect £1400)
Not sure what's a sensible price and whether it's even worth upgrading given it's still handling anything I can throw at it.

When I say bluetooth and water don't mix I mean that water very efficiently blocks the radio frequencies that bluetooth uses.
Hence why the Garmin swim HR strap doesn't transmit HR data in real time like it would if you were running or cycling. It waits until you're out of the water and then sends readings to the watch.

I'd assume they wont work, since Bluetooth and water doesn't mix. You'll probably have to find something with onboard storage, e.g.
