Cheers Guys, really appreciate the kind words.
....And to be clear, I'ld still like to endorse my first dibs on whenever/if ever you'll sell those wheels..;)
I haven't forgotten ;) you'll be first to know, if it ever happens
BTW, is that a gold Mack to Hplusson now in the back? I remember another forumenger buying thos from NL.. Not you.. confused
Yes thats the one, those came to me from a fellow forumenger as a part exchange. These are the set that will likely make way for other things down the line, but I must admit they are growing on me....

Like I say, They solved a couple of things for me, one was the aesthics of a deeper rim wheelset on the Bike. Also, the Black Macks were (and still are) unbuilt and my mind was unmade for rim choice, so didnt really have a decent wheelset to use...came out the blue, but glad they did.
I was unsure, and doubt I would've bought them, but as it was a bit of a trade and helped both parties out, i went for it. Having Super Light Macks laced to those rims seemed a bit of a "chalk and cheese" decision by someone, but none the less the perfromance of those hubs are lovely and the wheels are not that heavy, so ride well...Even the gold isn't too much to look at and didnt get me entered in the HHSB so must've got away with it :)I do, although not open pros - 32h sun ringle assaults. great rims, wide enough to give you this "u" shape profile, semi-aero and very light, just 405g each.
I was thinking, if ever you decide to sell macks.. well, you know where I live:)
otherwise there is not too much use for them at the moment!Ah, okay. I have no plans to sell those Black Hubs and the gold/yellow are a 36h. I'm pretty much made up on the TB14's for now...or the archtypes if they make it over here before i have funds to buy....
OOI - How much did you want for your Zen?

Yes, those current wheels were part swap, got me rolling and fed the curious hipster brain burp that surfaces every now and then. Especially well timed as I had stripped the open pros of my black Macks and used the rims on the road bike as they had surface wear. A complete Wheelset was too good to resist while I decided what rims to go for. That said, they roll extremely well, cant fault the Macks!
Once the new build is done, they may well make way to fund my dream Wheelset, which involves Royce at the heart and, not quite sure which rim yet? Maybe the TB's if they go well with the Macks. Been wanting to try the TB's since release, and everyone seems happy with them. -

Omnium's turned up today (thanks Dan), fitted and ready to roll. Haven't had proper chance/time to try them out, so can't compare them to the Sug 75's as yet. Its a totally different system, so not sure they even do?... they feel stiff as hell and I like the simplicity on the maintenance side of things, plus they suit a modern frame well.

Still tweaking the Bars (nitto m194 ssb's) and Lever (Record) position for the longer riding. Not much info this side of Japan, but I think they're ideally suited for Dura Ace STI's (rather than Campag Record Brake levers) so they may end up on the Merlin, if i can't get it right.
Also, now I have a longer steerer and waiting for spacers to arrive i can have a tweak with stem height.
Should be shaping up by the weekend, then it's the Wheel build.....Likely to be my SF Black Macks to Grey TB14's I do think!

Hehe, nope!
I strongly recommend these guys for chainrings!
They do sound good, have you used their rings Scott?
53t is what you need, give you big strong legs and make bike go faster!
I just put my silver ring on and its much nicer for the build. The black zen is urs benNot in Cornwall it doesnt! 53 makes your lungs pop, knees melt and my bike getting zig-zagged up hills. Good for other places though, so yes! Any thoughts on the ultegras?
