Not a Pista crank but a 170mm Campagnolo Record Strada left hand crank. Actually looks better in your hand than in the pictures, the threads are all OK and it would benefit from a wee buff up with some brasso.
Some more snaps here :

PM me if interested.

Get a Junior hacksaw ( or a dremil with cutting disc ) and cut the bottom alloy ring of the head set assembly so as there is a nice slot cut in it so as it sits snugly on the top of the fork and provided a level base for the bearing race.
Job done.
Don't be tempted to sand cut or drill the top of the fork, it will end in tears probably :-(

Good morning,
you have an old frame that you are trying to fit a modern fitting brake to.
My suggestion would be to get an old brake style that has a bolt that will go all the way through the fork crown and fasten with a conventional bolt.
Drilling out forks seldom goes well unless you have a pillar drill and some tough bits, even then you won't get the exact fit a modern countersunk bolt needs.
Have a look at these :
or these :
and you will see the different fitting for the bolts.
Pop round to your LBS, they are bound to have one lying about in the back shop or call Ivor and ask him.

Well I am pleased that the frame has gone to some one that will really appreciate it, the cash has covered the amount it needed to for a new bike for the kids and beginners , Ebay and paypal have made nothing on the deal and after a fraught holiday period for me at least some thing has turned out quite well at the last minute !
Last feed to do, quick rub down of the wee one with the calamine lotion and off to bed.... work tomorrow :-(

Good evening folks,
I should really start of with an apology,
I can understand why some folk are a bit pissed off, in my ( very limited ) defence I have been unwell over the last couple of days , and have two small children with chickenpox, just as Virgin media shut down my internet connection…. happy new year.
This idea of a track frame auction has not gone well, which is all down to my own fault in not managing it very well.
I should have started a new thread for the frame and closed all other references to it on the forum, then folk could have seen a start and finish date and posted what they thought it was worth and every on could see how it was developing.
Having done the sums to look at what is needed to make each frame sale work in respect of converting it in to a new track bike there is an "upset value " of £ 245 for each frame which I think is just about on the upper limit of what folk may pay as they are sound but not in pristine condition by any means.
If there is an offer of that ( or more ) by midnight then I will accept it , if not I will re run the sale taking in to account all the very helpful suggestions forum members have given me.
Apologies again for the lack of clarity and inconvenience.
The current highest bid I have had by email is £ 175 please post any more here rather than by email .
Over to you !
regards Allister

Look up STFU in Wiktionary, the free dictionary. STFU may stand for:- Shut The Fuck Up, a vulgar form of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shut_up used as Internet slang.

For a youth track bike I would suggest you get a "Miche Young" double road chainset with 155mm cranks and take off the inner ring and use the adjustable 107mm bracket set to get the chain line right.
Wiggle have them for £ 45 just now:
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/miche-young-chainset/
The 46T ring and a 19mm 650c podium tubular lets you get the correct youth gearing as well.
I have several sets on our very small kids track bikes and they work well rather than having to bodge your way round shortened cranks and odd bcd fittings.
Good luck,
Allister
