Nerg guns.
I have started passive aggresively blocking RLJers now. It's always the same ones on my commute. Slow as fuck but won't even thinking of slowing for a red. Ultimately, I always pass them, not even out of trying (although absolutely destroying some who is being a cunt can be rewarding) and will make it my business to wait at the front of the queue at the lights blocking whatever gap there is. Usually by putting a foot down but quite far out and leaning the bike over. Got called out once today by someone who came up behind and shouted "oi! move!". All he got was "where the fuck are you gonna go, it's red". I think he then cottoned on to why I was standing like a prick and STFU.
Yeah i do this too and its immensely satisfying....especially when you hear the tuts and huffing from behind!!

I tried swisstop greens and will never go back, wet weather braking is phenomenal. They last ages so the cost isn't important. Never tried the kool ones so cant comment on the relative performance.
Yep, I fitted a set of greens after the black ones that came with my bike were worn. Even if they only last a couple of months ill stick with them as they are fantastic. As you say, in the wet they are amazing.

I want to see all the juicy stuff. When USADA release it! Wonder who Lance will take down in the UCI, if more comes out. Shit & Fan spring to mind
My guess is that he'll take a refined stance of not taking others down. He's someone who clearly has eyes on a bigger prize (politics probably as already mentioned here) and knows that regardless of what comes out, theres probably more than enough people blinded by his greatness to still make a semblance of this possible (see Huffington post article about Livestrong donation increasing x 25 since allegations came out).
Just out of interest, has he ever stated under oath that he never doped? Or has it always been via statements? Sure it would never happen but I'd love to see that fucker do time for perjury....

Says he's just got back from the states. Wonder which foundation paid for that trip.......mmmmmmm
I was actually going to insinuate that Uncle Phil must have been on a visit to Colorado, but actually he's happy to put it out there himself...
“I met a chap who worked with Armstrong on Saturday in Boulder, Colorado. He told me that he has a visit two years ago….there were agents from a particular agency. They said ‘will you tell us that Lance Armstrong took EPO, and we can assure you that you will never want for money again?’ He told them in words I can’t put on radio what to do with that,” he claimed.

sorry, not sure if you read all of my post.
I'm carrying an injury. 30 miles in a day, even with numerous stops, is not advisable at present.
I have been told to build things up slowly.Sorry Shoosh, didnt see that. No, i had lots of injurys in the past and definitely worth taking time getting back. Ps PM coming soon

Can get a basic one for about £30 i think. Now ive been using it for a while i can judge my hr on my breathing (have a look at relative exertion scales or something which how things were done before monitors).
Main thing is, if youre getting out of breath slow down. Should be able to hold a conversation. Felt weird at first not pushing myself harder though.
Ive got dodgy knees from previous surgerys so if i push too hard i get sore knees for a few days so this is perfect for me!
Now i know this is working for me im doing a 35 mile loop a couple of times per week if i can, or if i cant because of work i will do a longer ride, say 60-70 miles.
I know the distances sound daunting at first but once you start you soon get more confidence to push the miles up and lots of info outnthere says thismis the sort of training/ rides that build up base fitness and uses fat more.

I'd be up for some as well.. really need to get longer rides than the mad stop-start dash to work. Sure I can do 100mtr between traffic lights very fast, but anything sustained over 10 miles kills me
This was my problem til recently. Was hammering myself on my commute from Woodford to Westminster every day and wondering why i wasn't losing any weight (wasn't helped by the fact that when i got to work, 'cause id hammered myself i'd need carbs) and wasn't getting any fitter (well my commute was getting a little quicker but not much).
Have looked into it in more detail, got a HR monitor (well a Garmin) and have done some long slow/steady rides keeping my HR below 80% of max. Feels weird not really being out of breath much but has made such a difference. Recently did a 70 mile loop out to Stanstead and back which was hard but didn't have cravings to stuff myself with carbs after as went pretty slow (only had a nutri grain bar while i was out). Burnt 2600 calories...
Even though I've only been doing them for a couple of weeks, doing long slow rides has done more for my fitness than anything I've done in the past 18 months, did my regular 35 mile loop 20 minutes quicker today than when i first did it 3 weeks ago while maintaining the same approx HR, plus I'm definitely losing weight. Getting a geared bike made a difference too as meant i could keep my HR down and more controlled....
