I have to agree with some that I didn't think Andy's comments were that bad. The fact is, he lost time due to him not wanting to take a risk on the descent and this will be frustrating for him (anyone who's tried to chase the rear wheel of a more ballsy rider knows how frustrating it is that no matter how hard you smash the pedals, it's the reluctance to brake and the guts to take the corners harder that gets you down faster). His comments don't make him look great - especially in a tour where so many of the riders seem to have taken hardship on the chin like Hoogerland - but I can see why h's frustrated.
Also, losing a rider on your team is going to affect you a lot more than the other riders. Yes the loss was felt by professional cycling but if you're racing and spending all your time with your team, you are inevitably going to be a lot closer to the other riders.
tl;dr - Shleck was a bit lame, obviously frustrated but not without reason. Meh anyway, Cuddles FTW.

The seat angle would be comedy but it would get your weight right over that back wheel, which is the intention right?
After having a go on it today, I can safely say that you don't need your weight any further back!

possible yes. but itd be weaker. it would add a shitload of weight to the frameset if you wanted the same strength....
plus more welds = more labour.
Not to mention how the seattube angle would be different. . .

Had a go on the polo-pro earlier. It's absolutely awesome, looks sweet, there's loads more clearance for a buckled wheel that there looks to be in the photos. I literally can't get over how well it works and how awesome it is. I was very sceptical about the whole project but what can I say? It works amazingly!

Right, I shouldn't take the bait but here goes.
Reason 1 - if he wanted to use decent tubing for the bike (like he is), welding it would be very difficult (the main reason most steel frames are brazed rather than welded is because welding them is fucking difficult).
Reason 2 - you're introducing several welds into the tube which will no doubt make it a shite load weaker unless they're perfect - which is quite an ask for an "amateur framebuilder".
Reason 3 - welding edge to edge like that would again being difficult/stupid/time consuming/weak.
Reason 4 - at what point does this become "easy".
Literally everything you post is total waste.
