Interesting that Dygert would definitely have been faster than Anna Henderson and got the silver had she not come off, but Henderson noted that she had grannied all the corners to make sure she stayed on - a decision that definitely paid off. She looked so chuffed. Really enjoyed watching it. Grace brown is clearly a different breed though!

I’d be interested to see tyre choices for the women’s TT. Both the yanks crashed.

Some of my T-shirts had acquired that mildew smell and it wasn’t washing out. Left them to soak in a bucket of water with a cup of vinegar in it. Washed again and hey presto - back to smelling fresh.

This felt like a very middle aged win.

Sadly no more sets here. But picked up a ten piece hex and torx set for £4 each - seem decent enough for home. Have wera for work, but they’re a bit posh for a tiny bit of home use.

I quite simply can't be arsed investing in a bike purely for gains, when the sums of money greatly outweigh my commitment to being fitter. The bike definitely delivers in saved watts per £ spent!

I’ve looked at the wera sets so many times, but the price has always stretched beyond a casual purchase, even if it is for use at work. I’ve got a couple bahco mini sets that I’ve picked up which do the job but the wera still appeals. So a £10 mini set like this for at home is a no brainer.

This is such a mad bargain.

There was a bloke there who broke a lifetime pb of his (that he’d had since the mid 90s). I think he said he’d done a 50:01 before and he went 49.17 today! Many others with PBs too - so something was in our favour.

By almost 3 minutes! Admittedly only my 4th TT and only my second on a TT bike, and my first on a fast course with favourable conditions. So I have a feeling I won’t break it for a while. Chuffed tho. I now need to take everything out the car, put it all away, have a wash, have a nap, and then go do another 12 hour night shift, lol. Sleep is overrated. . .

There’s 120psi in there! No excuse for the socks though. The extent to which I was short for time doing the bike fit cannot be understated, lol.

Gratuitous amount of leg on show, but I seem to have made some positional improvements with the tiny bit of tinkering time I had earlier. Now for the 12 hour nightshift before the TT tomorrow.
Untested alterations and disrupted sleep - a surely winning combo for a good performance tomorrow no doubt.

Well I’ve got a paper thin tub on the front and decent puncture protection on the back. Best of both worlds? Lol.

Oh cool. Well I have to buy something at some point as the gp5000 is off my road bike so will need to come off at some stage anyway, so if you have spare tyres I wouldn’t say no!

Had a fairy ridiculous time trying to ride on the rollers for the first time in over a decade. Seems they are easier on a fixed gear, or I’ve just totally lost the knack! Some hilarious bails.

I have a weekend away camping coming up.
My north face tent is finally disintegrating after many years in service.

I’d quite like to be able to fit my 135cm by 190cm mattress topper inside as this makes for the comfiest bed. But I also don’t want a ridiculously big tent (I don’t think at least), so it can be used for occasional backpacking.

This looks nice and big, but I can’t find a review anywhere. And it’s probably a bit shit in bad weather (likely for the uk)

The wild country looks sturdier for inclement weather. But also quite a bit heavier.
