Yeah you need those things brazed on your forks (like in the picture) or bosses (like the bottle cage bosses/mounts on the downtube). You can use P-Clips if you don't have forks like this though.
Thats good to know, as if I ever want to have a rack like that, id rather mine was at the front not the back.

I think my main concern is to learn how to ride such a thin bike, learn how to control it, pedal it, braking as I'm used to mtb/jump/bmx bikes etc. Then see if im comfortable with the handlebars as it is, and then converting it to singlespeed hopefully with some help of you lovely people flutters eyelashes and thennnnnn we'll see...

your best option is to get those Nitto front rack.
Maybe its just me, but looks like you need to get some kind of fork to get that rack added on
