@bazschmaz Any chance of a clue on this one? I’m stumped.

Nice! Where are they taken? The second one has Corrieyairack vibes but I don’t think that’s were it is?
@eskay Thanks for the offer, I’ll keep that in mind :)

Nice!
Be careful with parts of the HT550 as it gets real radical even for a mountain bike and there’s some large sections of hike-a-bike. I’ve not done it so not sure exactly where that is I’m afraid.
If you’re going to Corrour Station for lunch/ dinner (which I highly recommend) then it’s best to book. Last time I did the Badger Divide it was fully booked out with walkers and the kitchen would only offer me chips. And that was mid-week!
To be honest, the section of your route from Kinloch Laggan to Killin takes in pretty much everything amazing in that area so I wouldn’t bother adding anything from the routes we did (the friend I was riding with created the Badger Divide).

Yeah, it’s a Straight Cut one. Think Ross does them as a custom job, best to email him and find out.
These were the three routes we did, the other two days was just riding out to and from Loch Earn from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The Rannoch one is seriously punchy as there’s a huge hikeabike across a bog in the middle. We had to cut out the last 15 or so miles of gravel and blast along the tarmac or we would have been in danger of getting back at midnight. Also, there’s fuck all food stops along the way so you’ll have to carry all your food. Plenty of burns for water.

I guess with a bar end shifter you can shift the whole cassette in one big shift, but I completely agree that the whole not pedalling while changing gear is something you’d have to get used to. And also agree that on new trails where you may not be able to see what’s coming up it may not be the best (although the friend I was riding with knows the area so well that he only checked his Garmin a handful of times over 350ish miles!).

Yeah, there were three of us for one day as another friend came to join for a day trip.
I was against the idea as well but you can set it up with a bar end shifter. And when you’re averaging 10mph on a ride it’s not like not pedalling for a second to change gear is going to be a problem, haha! You can also change gear when you’re stopped which, for someone like me who falls off regularly, is great ;)
He was riding more of a drop bar MTB though, so probably made more sense to have a hub gear on that.

The MBA says not to visit bothies, however none of the ones that I have visited in the last few months have been locked (as was suggested they would have been on the MBA website).
But as @gillies days, best take a bivvy.
