I was looking for a Kinesis Granfondo V3 frameset for quite a while due to the Di2 compatibility and wider tyre clearance (30mm), but reluctantly have to admit it’s just not being ridden so it’s up for sale. Like a lot of these frames this one cracked around the BB internal cable routing, but has been repaired to a high standard (double passes). If you’re after a V3 Granfondo, I’d say buy one already repaired or be prepared to get it sorted. Presumably the internal cable routing wasn’t the best idea.
It's peak rim brake before things moved to discs and is a lovely all day mile-muncher. Geometry can been see here, and any questions just let me know. More photos here, including the repair..
£800 posted, or collected for Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, with some wedge off. It’s 40mins via train from St Pancras.

Thanks for the info. The forks seem to have K-Tech lower compression valves, but the top caps(?) look standard so will update once they're serviced so we know what the deal is. Can't wait to have 21st century brakes plus more room up front with the wider bars will be nice. Wish I had lumps of billet kicking around, this tinkering business is addictive stuff eh.
@Tom13 been keen to get something cerakoted for a while so a dark grey is probably what I'm leaning towards, once the casting marks have been removed obviously!

Any other prep before forks are fit?
Thanks a lot, was surprised how different the bike felt with slightly wider bars. Keeping the standard yokes makes the swap less of a ball ache in terms of retaining lockstops and ignition. Plus, I think fancy forks in OG yokes will be slightly more sympathetic and can always get them coated or polished depending on how tarty I feel. I just need to source calipers, lines and front mudguard as funds allow then we're ready to party. Even though the bike has only 16k on the clocks I'll be changing the headstock bearings for peace of mind.

Apparently bandit cables are slightly longer than GSXR ones of the same period, so for £20 thought it's worth a try. Thank you for the kind offer. If that's not a goer then will go custom and contact Venhill.
I know it would have been cheaper to put a wheel weight on the lockstops but the longer bars, that can now be at a less acute angle, feel a lot better already.

It's best not to think about it. Originally I was going to buy a 1198S but knew I wouldn't want to tinker with it, so here we are. The history of the forks are unknown, but they are in good condition and were sensibly priced so snapped them up. I'm assuming they are standard and anything else is a nice surprise.

Are those forks from a k5/6 750
Yes, although the seller had the forks so long he can't remember re the internals. It's probably safer to assume they're standard. I'm going a bit silly with the calipers and thinking Brembo M4 but we will see. Once everything is plumbed in and working I'll get the suspension looked at by Maxton, when the bank account has recovered.

This small but crucial detail is what I'd definitely overlook, thanks for the info. I can see how having the stem higher with this set-up would help with cable entry.
@bobble thank you, it was a nervous few seconds... but when you need that gram.

Nicely done, amazing what difference new bars make. Recently switched to longer clip-ons for the SRAD and it's night and day.
@jung if you're not already, it won't be long until you're taking custom orders.
