I like the keyboard one for a different reason: I can read it in bed. When lying on my back, with the kindle on my chest, the thickness of the duvet means that the keyboard is covered up, and the bottom of the screen is visible. If the keyboard and bezel wasn't there, the bottom inch or so would be covered.

Dammit, I've found maverick to be good for tracing your track onto OS maps. But if you're looking for something more like a bike computer, I find SportsTracker Pro to be good.
On another note, rumour has it Ice Cream Sandwich will become available for the galaxy range on the 17th November.
http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/10/30/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-gets-ice-cream-sandwich-4-0-update-original-m-i-a/No mention of dates in that article. I'd be very surprised if the GS2 is updated before Easter, to be honest. They'll want a decent period of the Galaxy Nexus having ICS exclusivity.

The unwritten thing I got out of this was that dead cyclists were a necessary evil of allowing hgv's through Central London
I wouldn't even say "necessary evil", more like "acceptable loss".
The policy makers couldn't give a fuck about cyclists, dead or alive. We are a minority who generally don't contribute as much tax as most car drivers or lorry users, so we just aren't as important to them. The pro-cycling lobbyists, with all due respect to the good work of LCC and the like, are dwarfed by the vested interests of the internal combustion engine, from oil producers to car retailers. Cycling is seen as transport for poor people or a weekend hobby for MAMILs.

Much to my dismay, my (now) husband will be partaking again this year...
Indeed.
Movember, 11/ 2011
- T-V - Copstash Standard
- Stonehedge - Less molest-y compared to last year.
- MountainMOmatt - handlebars (been secretly growing them in a beard...)
- fatoldbloke - big gay hoser [depending on job interview]
- 'brows- shit-adolescent style
- lardboy - Horseshoe, with a soul patch/flavour-saver
I'll be doing it "properly", so I'll be clean shaven on the 1st Nov, and have to endure the ignominy of growing from scratch during the month. No hiding in a beard/stubble here.

Before a queue forms outside the PS shop: when I was in there a couple of weeks ago the prices there were the same as those in the Clearance section of the web site. There is (or was then) a large photo of PS himself trackstanding on a black Mercian outside as part of this exhibit:
http://road.cc/content/news/44213-sir-paul-smith-and-boris-johnson-feature-photography-exhibition-londons-mostLooks the same prices to me as well, from a visit at lunch today, but there's a few things that aren't on the website. Long trousers £100, rain jacket £150, long sleeve merino £65, windproof shirt £80, I think.

Wiesia, or anyone that knows for sure - my friend has a track bike she wants to use, but currently it has a front brake. will this be allowed on the track, or will she need to take it off??
It should be easy enough to take off. If it's a cross top, then the lever and caliper will come off as a single unit after undoing two bolts. If it's a drop bar brake lever, then it's easiest to swap the bar for the duration of the session. I'm sure the guys at HH will be able to do either of these in a couple of minutes.
Alternatively, she could use a hire bike.

brilliant thank you, have some rep. next one is a scene i remembered about an evil bomb maker, i seem to remember his hide out being in a ship. His final bomb was triggered by a ball bearing rolling though some elaborate mechanism, kinda like a rube goldberg machine. I think al his bombs might have had bb's in.
Can't remember that one. The only films with boats and bombs that spring to mind are Speed 2 and Juggernaut. I haven't seen Speed 2, so might it be that one? Juggernaut is bloody brilliant, although dated now. Richard Harris and Roy Kinnear, together at last!

i just remembered a scene from a film (could be tv though) where one of the characters (i seem to remember is in a gang who are planning a heist) is kidnapped. He can't see where he's going but can hear. So he recreates the noises he hears on a leyboard and the rest of the characters recognise it as as bumps on a bridge and thus work out where he went.
can anyone tell me what's this os from please?Sneakers. Also used in Charlie's Angels 2.

There are some custom Sense roms available. Leedroid, I think does one?
"Leedrooooooid Jeeeeeenkiiiins!"
I've just updated to 2.3.4 on the SGS2 (via Kies, not OTA), and got the newest version of Swype. I can't see myself using a different touch keyboard system after this. The iPhone one (on work phone) seems so clunky and dated.

Loads do headphones, just not in the window displays.
Do your price research online, know the models you are interested in, and then try and screw one of the shops to sell it to you for £10 less than online for cash. Don't worry about pissing off one of the shop owners, there's about 50 shops on the strip who all want your business.
Don't believe any of the bullshit like "These are even better, just nobody's heard of them yet as they aren't sold in the UK".

It sounds more like a swype problem than which browser. Swype has worked fine for me on stock, Firefox and Opera on Samsung GS2 and HTC Legend.
