You can get different ones for different things. There's ones with timers or manual pull cords. One with a humidity stat on would be helpful if you get lots of moisture.

My other half is the stoker and she is 5'6. The frame at the rear really suited he. I'm 6'3 and I could have done with a slightly longer stem but still fit really nicely. Will put actual measurements up tomorrow

Morning All,

It is with a heavy heavy heart that I finally have to admit that our tandem is not going to be used for anymore cycling tours. We have owned the tandem for nearly 6 years and have been to France, Belgium, Spain and also randomly Alaska.

Previously to our ownership the tandem was owned by a lovely couple from Chelmsford, who literally went all over the world on this bike. Sadly the tandem doesn't get sufficient use anymore, We have acquired a pub tandem in recent months which allows us to drink and cycle and only round our village.

The tubing is 531, mix of campag and shimano. the rear derailleur is shimano however I do have a veloce touring one that I am happy to throw in.

I'm probably asking way too much but I feel that is what it owes me.

Could you invert the stem? possibly cable tie the cables into position
