Interested in the fork. is it threaded and how much? I need to check my existing one...
not a player yet, but building a polo bike so I can play. the shite frame I have has massive rake, which is apparently a bad thing...It's a 1 1/8" fork, not threaded. I do have a threaded fork but it won't help you with your rake problem.
Start playing and tweak the bike as you go - you can't build a 'perfect' polo bike without playing!

I need the space behind the kitchen door back so does anyone want [for free] most of an old polo bike to start playing on:
mid 90s MTB frame (strong but heavy, suitable for someone about 6ft)
FSA headset
700c fork
2 x 26" rear wheels (both pretty wrecked from polo but they still have *some *life)
26" front wheel (not so wrecked)
Assorted 26" tyresObviously you can go freewheel and use a v-brake. Apparently this is the future.

If you are sponsored then you have endorsed an environment where some people have more than others. Surely then you have to accept that the others will strive to achieve the same in whatever way possible. Sponsorship becomes an aspiration and suddenly free shoes and shirts become appealling regardless of who is supplying them. Even if they wanted to, Swrve cannot sponsor everyone.*
Obviously this is simplified terribly but so is comparing a Nike advertorial to the holocaust.
*Disclaimer - I am not anti-sponsorship. I don't wear Nike. I am decidedly vainglorious and would quite like to be in a magazine shoot though.

Does photography work in the same sort of way as acting/music? If you act in an advert you used to get royalties per showing but now they will just pay you a flat fee and buy you out of it. A record label will buy the artists recordings and split royalties. So if a magazine approaches you and says they want you to do a shoot, do they give you a flat fee straight away? Do you produce the pictures and then they 'might' buy them if they like them? Do they give you a budget? Do you retain ownership?
It doesn't affect my feelings about this, I'm just interested.

I can't remember who I told i'd give ABS pipe to...
You said you'd sort me out with a couple of heads worth. Won't be around tomorrow though. Head should be 5.5" total length. Not sure which caps they are but the ones Mat ordered recently. We need to sort out Malice v Sparkle at some point so just hang on to it until then I guess. Cheers.
