1. What can I eat?
Unprocessed, preferably organic, whole foods such as:....
....At least 75% of food consumed should not be heated over 116 degrees F.
Purists do not eat meat or fish.yes but why? No one has answered my question yet. Is there a proven basis, or is it just a lifestyle choice? I've seen nothing to suggest it's the former.
Of course it's important to be health consious and ethically minded regarding your diet, but if it's all based on misinformation then the motives of those who advocate it are questionable, and the diet is perhaps unhealthy.
Every new strive for individualism provides a new market for manufacturers. Of course that's all wel and good for the economy and GDP and all that, but that's not why people eat raw food is it? Or am I missing the bigger picture?

I tend to judge something by judging those who advocate it. Raw food-ers tend to be narrow minded and superior. That some food is better for you raw doesn't mean raw food is better for you. Lots of foods, contrary to popular belief are better, i.e. more of the main nutritious constituent is digested, if they are cooked. It just depends.

Fractals are alright, extra dimensions hurt my brain
RE multiple dimensions, what confused me most is that i thought I understood 3D, as the world we experience is 3D. But it isn't that trivial.
From a 2D plane a 3rd dimension can be obtained either by simply extending the 2D plane (as in (x,y) -> (x,y,z)), but it can also exist as a space through which the 2D plane can be deformed, i.e. the 2D sheet can be warped through the 3rd dimension. This addition of dimensions opens up a whole host of conceivable dimensions.
I'm just saying that the concept of multiple dimensions isn't conceptually difficult, rather it just isn't demonstrated or explained that often. I imagine many make the same mistake I did of trying to imagine how 3D can go to 4D in the same way (x,y) -> (x,y,z)

The aim of this article is simply to explain what proponents of the diet believe, as Ardicius says, it also reports some of what it's critics believe. It makes no attempt to explain the rationale behind the diet apart from the following statement:
