Tried out some Continental tyres today; Argotal front, Kryptotal Rear, both super soft DH. They're a bit good! It was wet but grippy up at Peaslake today, but the sniper roots were lethal from the damp ground. Argo just grips forever, and it took an off camber, 45⁰ root and front braking to finally make it wash out. Krypto has amazing braking, but you can get the back end sliding when you want to. Lots of fun.

The fact that most of the other competitors were mostly just linking up previously created features, whereas Bren made his own, shows he had to work harder and was more freeride than anyone else. It's just a bike park now, and that lends itself to tailwhips and back flips, albeit absolutely massive ones.
Very interested to see if anyone turns down an invite next year; I saw one competitor on social media call the whole event out as bullshit in the comments on someone else's post. -

Anyone interested in a fairly lightly used pair of Assegais for £45? 29x2.5, Maxxgrip, DD casings. OEM ones so with the white Maxxis logos. At a guess they've done about 400km, so worn in but no cuts or torn knobs that I've noticed. Only selling because I've got far too many sets of tyres already
