I actually think it's a lovely frame and build. But i don't think its porn worthy. Chain, steerer not cut, i dont particularly like the forks...
I'm with you on the forks, I never noticed the steerer but your right. It's just my personal opinion so don't get all wtf but I just think it looks really dull for something that obviously costs a fortune. I'm not into mad anodised bits or powder coated deep v's but a little flash of personality is what that bike needs.
edscoble thats what all the pics you put up have in spades. I love the maglite bracket on the singlespeed with canti's. I made up a similar bracket when I was at high school.

This is a little different, but the guy's totally decked it out in period xtr, use, ringle etc. I'm not sure but are the forks team only issues?

This is a little different, but from the other pics the guy has totally decked it out in period xtr, ringle, use etc. parts. I'm not sure but I think the forks were team issue jobs?

Your all students ill do it this way,
canons gym carpark, is behind the foundry bar at the end of union street
There's the plaza, which is an outdoor business site, which is a few streets behind somerfield on union street. usually that's a bust for skating tho.. very American looking
and as a general meeting spot, on top of St,Nicholas shopping centre nice and central.
anyway im in. anyone from Aberdeen with a good knowledge of spots?
The skateparks good ;)
The denburn carparks good rain or shine. Top for some funny little transitioned banks and the bottom cos its dry and warmish. Depends what you guys want to ride? Flat or a bit of street. I've rode bmx in aberdeen for nearly 10 years now, if you could tell me what you want to ride I could easy show you on a map or in person .
Fixie tricks aren't for me either

Thanks, It's just my design, but I oversee it when its being made and then mark where it's to be cut and polished. The wood's my thing. The glass is made by www.glasstorm.com , They're a couple Brody and Nicky, based in the highlands and all of there shits awesome. I'm really luck for them to be making my stuff.

I guess this for has been specifically made for this frame http://www.bobjacksoncycles.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=507
Otherwise toe overlap just just renders this fork useless, unless you've got a really slack headtube.
No details on the frame yet, but likesay it must be slack.

I'm up & running now! Taking a bit of getting used to. Brakeless at the mo till I can face spending more money on the bike. It's all black so give me a shout if any of you see me (likey around Aberdeen uni campus or union st).
Bumped into a guy in Edinburgh Cycles on Sunday - who was it? Had a quick chat about this place & Becycles.Got a spare long-drop brake at home. Your welcome to it. PM me and we could sort something out.

Cheers for the advice, its up on another forum as well, they are still ceramic bearings but they are starting to go, need replacing...if you read the whole initial post you can see I state that quite clearly.
Its not a press-fit BB the majority of race bmxes do not use press fit BBs, I would advise anyone replacing the BB to do so with something like a Profile Euro kit, probably a lot more durable and I doubt you'll notice much difference in performance. If you were to replace the BB with a profile one you would need new cranks. Those cranks look like they're the cheap hex axle ones you get with complete BMXes (haro cruisers??). Sorry if I'm wrong.

If your going to do all black this is how to do it, appart from your headtubes to long (tall c****)Like the brass nipples on the wheels even though thats probs just what your builder uses. I'd go with one of those stripped saddles personaly, but yeh this is practical, simple and pretty sweet.
