Most of us who are not used to seeing guns would probably freak out with just having a pile of them on a table. We'd be like OMG, make sure they are not loaded. Then like, SHIT, "what if they go off while I am unloading them" "Best we dont touch them and leave the room"
This seems like a pretty good reaction to encountering a pile of guns.

British bukt frame, decent wheels and tyres. Couple of rusty nuts and bit of rust on the chain. You might want to replace the brake levers to something more powerful.
basket not on it though but can dig it out if needed.Pick up Homerton Eves/wknds or Kings Cross during the day.

No - I kinda meant that surely the bike has to be worth £250 if for no other reason than someone one buying it for £150 (min?) worth of forks and wheels and taking the rest with the idea that it will be going in on ebay or the parts bin. I know I didn't say that but its what I meant.
What are the cheapest MTBs with reasonable or better condition Fox Forks that you've seen sold on ebay in the last few months? Gut feel is that very few go for much under £300 unless the forks are listed as fucked. Saying that of course few people are probably stupid enough to flog a 9 year Rockhopper with Fox Forks on ebay.
No need to carry on this unless someone has a vastly different opinion - reassured me that splitting is the way forward!
you can normally get ok money for forks and brakes on ebay. Old MTB frames wont get much esp in ugly colour unless it's something classic or high end.
You might get £30 per wheel. Maybe £20 for the rear mech. £8 for the pedals..
sold an XT front mech for £1.50 the other day. depressing.
I'd wait until the spring if you want to sell a complete bike.

I am upgrading my XC Hardtail and am pretty sure I have just about all the parts to start building, so I can start thinking about selling the old one. Can anyone tell me what they think that this bike is worth complete, or alternatively complete minus forks (which I'd quite like to keep)?
Specialized Rockhopper 17" frame from (I think) 2003, custom built by myself in 2010.
Fox Forks - Fox Float 100 RL (9mm QR). Steerer 200mm long. Has 110mm of stanchion showing and is thought to be a 100mm travel fork.
Deore Front mech and shifters, XT rear mech, Octalink V2 BB with Deore LX crankset (FC M571, 175mm, Hollowtech) 27 speed.
Halo Hubs to Halo Excite rims (with the following spares included - rim, 32 spokes and freehub body - basically a spare wheel minus the hub).
FSA headset, DMR V8 Platform Pedals, Corey Martinez Grips, Profile Bar Plugs, Supercross 2 Bars, Hayes Nine Brakes, Ritchey seatpost.

Maybe about £150. Probably more if you split. Let me know if you want to sell the forks.
