some ginger guy faster than me on farrigdon road at about 8.30, kept catching at the lights.
some friendly aussie giving me direction to the river becasue i was drunk on what i thnk was oxford street (there were lights and shoppers). cheers, most helpful...
also word to the persons bike that was locked to a railing with a d lock though the fornt rim only on a quick release wheel just off carnaby street with the only railing that didnt have a 'we hate cyclists' sign. seemed so silly i thought it was a joke/trap but was still there 4 hours later...

i've got 28s. went from really light 23s and felt a difference so dropped my gearing a little and they feel fine (maybe due to extra rolling resistance or size, dunno).
Good in the wet nd cheap value.
I was using at about 95psi and they were fine. dropped down to 85 on the front as i've hurt my wrist and it still feels fairly fast and bounces out of pot holes on drunken rides well.
They popped on easy to my rigida chrisna rims fine and they are only rated to 25mm.
No reflective strip on mine

I get a cardboard box from my LBS, the tighter the fit the better (currently using a boys 24" apollo mountain bike box) cram it full up to 32kg with shoes and clothes too to bulk out the space. Easyjet cycle allowance and 1 piece hold luggage gives you 50kg total as long as any single item is no more than 32kg. BA used to do free sports equipment carriage and don;t usually charge if you're a bit over limit as long as you're polite.
make sure you deflate your tyres mind.
Edit:just read the date of the oP....

I wondering about going teetotal. I don't drink a lot, but if I'm out it'll be 2 or 3 pints. Over the last year or so I've found that most beers/lagers give me an instant hangover. Within 20 minutes of drinking a pint I've got a shitty headache. That, for me is the main reason I'm thinking about teetotal (although, I'm finding the bourbon is going down fine...)
Sounds like like the sulphates, I have a similar thing. Try drinking German Beer (purity laws) or organic beer / cider..

Yes TDF came within 2 mins of the house....but I was in the thick of design for the Roadracers, couldn't find the time to visit. Sold shedloads now though, so it's 2 months snowboarding at La Cluzas for me this winter.
Nice, I missed the TDF too as all my friends who work at Salomon were given the day off for it so we went Downhill at Les Gets instead. I've just been riding powder today up on Le Semnoz. Had to hike for a bit but bright skies and 20cm of fresh snow and people building up a few decent kickers Moving to London on Sunday for a new job after a year out here freelancing..pretty depressing leaving just as the season starts but I guess you have to work for a living.
After a really dry summer it's snowed for about 10 days solid. Should be a good base in La Clusaz now.

Merino is nice and warm and comfy (provided your not tin the 10% of the population that's allergic to wool). Only drawback is its not very wear resistant. M&S were doing decent but cheaper Merino base layers last winter, they might have some more in now.
If you smell bad you could go for a base layer that has silver strands embedded in the threads which is supposed to reduce the smellyness. We had guys doing 3-4 days hard walking in them without an obvious clingy odour..
I wash all my synthetic baselayers at 40 degrees with the normal non-bio detergent and they don't smell after but I get them free so I'm not worried about them wearing out. Otherwise wash them on a wool cycle but at 40 with normal detergent as it's the wash cycle that may cause damage to Merino.

I learnt judo when I was about 9. The first thing you learn is how to fall and it's still instinct now 20 years later. Doesn't help with unclipping fails though. These are the ones where I've hurt myself the most (still got a swollen hip after 6 month, think I must have chipped the bone or something.. Better with more dynamic falls.
Pro Snowboarders use yoga to keep their bodies well flexy and relaxed so when they slam they wobble and bounce and are less likely to break anything..
