I have not ridden Newport for a while but 48x15 was what I used last time and that seemed ok, that banking is quite steep to grind up slowly in a gear that is to big

*which was drilled out to the max and weighed 5.75kg
Chris Boardman has the outright record using the superman position.It was outlawed after that.I was at Manchester when he broke Merckx's athletes hour record it was touch and go and the noise was deafening when he just did it -

That tool showed doesn't show it to well but the pin is the right size they are replacable usually and have a bit of meat on them as they unscrew they are thinner on the ends to fit those holes(badly explained)

bottom tool shown has the pins that fit those holes they are on the right hand end .That is the adjustable cup
