So, I got my new bars and a pair of very nice black SOYO long grips today..
I've read about putting them on with hairspray before, and I figured that's a pretty good idea and helps them stay on as well..Anyway, I got them 2/3 on, and apparently the hairspray dried already so now they're more or less stuck to the bars.. Any tips on how to take them off again?
Tried to hairspray but it's so tight that the spray doesn't get inbetween the bars and the grips.. -

I don´t get this bike, apart from the retarded choice of components, the clearances look out of place

looks like the guy sticked on some 700c forks on a Lopro.I know this is now somewhat "old", but I gotta ask..
What's with the rear wheel clearance to the frame? Or the lack of it that is.. is it made for a 650c wheel? 'Cause that'd look like a "melting tent circus midget bike" rather than a "melting tent bike".. -

Hey guys!
I'm looking for some nice pursuit bars, Nitto RB-021 or something similar! Prefferably under 40cm, but I'll manage 40 as well.. A quill stem for the bars as well!
Something cheap, prefferably!
Also a black Charge Bucket if anyone has one, with white lettering..
I live in Norway so it'd be great with soem cheap shipping as well!

There's a norwegian guy living in Poland who builds a lot of fixed gears over there, and he only uses disc mount hubs with drilled cogs, and he's never had any problems with those.. as long as you locktite the bolts I reckon it'll work just fine!
A bitch to switch cogs though, since you have to always have drilled ones, but still..

Wow, that sucks! Why are kids idiots most of the time..? It's annoying!
I suggest carrying a lasso with you at all times!
I had a guy honk whille being right next to me in Oslo! He had enough space, but I guess he thought it was funny cause he laughed right after..he didn't laugh though when it freaked me out and I slammed into the side of his shiny car.. risers with no grips do wonders on cars, nice and big scratch and a nice dent from my thigh on his front door..
Luckily I wasn't going too fast so I didn't get hurt when I fell off the bike.. he got out screaming at me that I fucked up his car but I got some help from a bypassing guy who was pretty big, so the dude got into his car and left.. -
550£ for a light?? Who in their right mind would buy such a light? And then you need one for the back as well.. Lance Armstrong while being sponsored by Donald Trump??
Seriously though, the review says "for the hardcore serious offroad biker" or something.. well, I'd run in front of that serious biker with a torch in each hand for 550£..
But anyway, I was on the on-one site the other day and they had some sale on a couple of lights, some even anodised!

Hey guys!
Anyone heard of them? I just saw a guy in Norway selling bikes with some parts from Eightinch, and they're VERY cheap (30$ for track bars and 139$ for a wheelset for example), but I have no idea if they're any good or not..
Cheap isn't good, but how bad can they be?
Their framesets look dangerously like unipacs though.. -

I used to lust after them back in the early 1990s. Never bought one though.
If memory serves they had lots of problems with frames cracking, presumably due to aluminium being in it's infancy in bike usage then. However, I'd guess the cromoly, i.e. steel. version would be far less likely to suffer from this.
Yeah, I read that about the cracking as well.. the cro-mag seems to be the steel version, so I'm hoping to get by..
Thanks for the links, Andy and Dan, appreciate it! Looks like I'll be building that thing up after all, since it seems to be a somewhat "cult" 90s bike.. -

alpineSTARS, I meant alpineSTARS! Sorry for the mistake, can't seem to edit the topic title..
Hey guys!
I'm just wondering, anyone know something about these bikes? I can't get any decent info on google either..
I have a chance to get one of their Cro-Mag XT (or LT? don't remember) frames, they look pretty weird with the high chainstays and all, but I've wanted to build up an ss mtb so this might be just up my alley..Anyway, would appreciate any info and some known flaws with them, before I start spending money on parts..=)

Hi guys!
I'm building a bike for a guy I know and it doesn't have a BB. It's a Colnago frame, but I'm not sure of the year/name since it's been repainted before he bought it.
I need a square tapered BB, but can you give me a tip on which type and size of BB I would need, or how I should measure it to know the size? Thanks in advance!
