My bike got stolen last week (Grrr), and i'd like something Home-made / old English to ride to work on / restore whilst reminiscing about the glory days of British Manafacturing. The older the better, about 55cm frame, not bothered about age / condition as long as it has wheels. About £100, but when do we ever stick to a 'budget'?

@marcho
My experience exactly - I was looking for a fillmore too.
Really boys Just keep talking amongst yourselves...i'm fine waiting here to spend MY money.they are a busy shop ..... did you try walking up to someone and saying excuse me or did you stand around waving your wad at them ?
attitude is everythingTuesday afternoon - you remember when it snowed? I was the only customer in the shop, and I stood at the counter with a humble smile and did the old 'neck crane' while three of the staff periodically looked up and carried on working. I didn't want to disturb them - because I was trying to be polite. I don't expect to be treated like a king, but in my book shop counter = service.

what amazes me is shops that don't want trade or are to snobbish to talk to you. Where you're in the shop for like 15 mins, obviously waiting to have someone help you out, but they cannot be arsed to even ask you whether you need help.
Before I got my lovely Fillmore from BC I went through a variety of bike shops, including Edwardes, BLB, Cycle Surgery, and noone wanted to sell me a bike as it seemed. At BLB all I got was snobbish looks, like if I didn't deserve buying a bike. Are people that wealthy that they turn down paying customers?

Sounds like the same injury I currently have - although I 'did' my knee running.
Might be that it's just inflamed from a light muscle stretch. Doc says might be caused by lack of a slow build to the levels you are expecting the muscle to cope with + apparently Paracetamol helps - don't ask me how (nothing to do with the painkilling properties)
