Personally I'd relay carpet after checking there's no active woodworm.
Pros Cons
Looks Nice Noisy

- Slippy
- Utterly horrific ball ache of a job to strip

Dropped my key (mk6 golf) and the housing(?) that holds the key to the fob snapped.
I have a spare key, so it's fine. But obviously it means I don't have a fully functioning spare. I was wondering about jbwelding a blob onto the end so in an emergency I'd be able to turn the ignition, but Google shows clones on amazon. https://amzn.eu/d/2GoIJfL
What do we reckon? Can I just buy one and take it apart?
Provided it's not a hobby for you, regularly using any sort of knife sharpener gives you sharp knives. Some of the cheaper gizmos can leave a slightly fine serated edge, but if you dgaf, it'll be fine for cooking.
Personally I find a steel the easiest.

✅ Big, so you can locate it in your overfilled drawers
✅ Big ergonomic handle, so you can easily hold it rather than working out what surface to rest it against
✅ Quick, so you can spend more time doing the things you love (TBF those little gizmos are quick too)I got a pro cook one to replace my aging alix one. It's nice and not too pricey. But equally my previous dirt cheap one also did the job fine.
If it's not something you care about, don't over think it. Just buy the Lansky one umop3pisdn recommend.
Agree. But it's one of those things where your lived experience influences how you react.
Other than being a newb and having to tripple check everything to make sure we didn't get fucked I found it pretty good. We had fertility treatment plus some other bits and I dealt with the admin. But then we had a high end package and in the grand scheme of things no really big items.
I worked for a prescription benefit company and one of the accounts was basically a glorified discount card that low paid workers got so their company could pretend they had prescription cover. Most of the time drugs either weren't covered or could be bought more cheaply elsewhere. When you feel like you're being fucked on your health so someone else can get rich I think your sympathy takes a hit.
It's absolutely personal for so many of them.
I feel for you. It's so hard to make decisions when you're in the thick of it.
If the mechanic said get it checked by a body shop then I'd do that.
There's a lot of illness at the moment, including Norovirus, so I don't think work would be supprised if you were out sick for a day. Also with life stresses I think having a bit of downtime away from work and kids might do you some good.
Maybe.
I've been using Copilot a lot because it's inside the client organisation I'm working in, so as I'm going through it's so much easier to write it down verbally. For me anyway.
Previously I'd check stuff using my company machine on chatgpt but change all the names of stuff. Luckily I can paste into my client's VM so that reduced a bit of effort, but copilot has been so much easier. But I just don't really trust it.
Julie Bindel did an extensive analysis on the pros and cons.
Someone on here recommend these irwin chisels:
https://www.screwfix.com/p/irwin-marples-bevel-edge-wood-chisel-set-4-pieces/2195xHappy with them, but I'm sure they were cheaper. So unless you'll use them a lot I'd probably get the £13 Magnusson 3 pack.
Feel free to post how you get on as I have a similar job on my tdl.
I always used to go to ESHK when I realised Taylor Taylor was more than I could afford.
Absolutely no idea what they cost now though as it was a depressingly long time ago.
I stopped going when I had a kid as it was too far from my office and I wasn't able to go after work.
Use of "Barbican" as a location would make an estate agent blush. It's a bit down from the back of City Uni on Goswell Rd.
The Shoreditch one is very handily near that cycle route that runs parallel to New North Rd. and then intersects Old Street. I mainly went to that one in the end because it was easier to cycle to.
Ignore me.
