as seen around now for a few weeks, i managed to get some pictures to do my new build justice.
did put it in the right thread as i think it is not a project anymore ...go on, have a look!

another reader's rat. though i admit, i have no parts with rust to show you, instead i tried to make up with some raw metal
i took great pleasure out of this thread and so the new steed was build to be in here. i love contrasts and so i built a bike that is only half a rat - i let you choose which one.
hope you like what i did.

I own a hope vision one and a Cree torch, besides wracking plastic led lights quite frequently, I am very impressed with tho hope vision one. The build quality is high up there, the price also gives you a decent glass lens producing a very functional beam pattern for unlit and even lit roads. This is the light that I own the longest now, it works. I would have loved it when hope would have put the blinking mode as the first one in the sequence and made it blink a bit faster.
The Cree torch, a much cheaper purchase needed serious tinkering to get it to work reliable enough for city riding, I love the high blink frequency but the beam is really not for cycling and to see the road. On completely unlit streets it would still be ok I guess.
I'd go hope. I don't regret the purchase compared to the 30 quitters (see what I did there?)

had a fucking annoying snake bite kind of incident on my way home yesterday. the culprit was the only one on the road for miles yet chance had me ride over a stone the size of a big walnut and popped my front innertube. even damaged the tire - brand new and not cheap.
bloddy ninja stones them, show up out of friggen nowhere.
...i did not lean, i haz mad skillz.

Oh nice the wiggle price is good.
Does anyone actually has any hands on experience with it?
I am a rather undisciplined person when it comes to charging and always felt exchangeable batteries (and spares) keep me from riding home ghetto style. Having to remember to charge it is a bit of a dealbraker but all else seems rather good value for the 30/44 quid.
just realise, the picture came from the afterparty of wake up to muff.
this can't be beaten - fact!
evah!
