We were on a fixed rate at something like 6%, we're now paying 2.5%. We've also overpaid massively, as saving at the moment, with interest rates so low, seems pointless so any money earmarked for saving is going into reducing the capital debt.
I dont think thats the fact that the repayments have already got smaller, just the interest is lower and 3.5% less is a HUGE saving !

How the hell are you on 2.5% ?? Lucky Bugger !
We managed to go onto the SVR for 8 months and saved £160 a month, then the bastards put up their SVR because Halifax did and everyone then copies and so i went and asked about fixing it. Fixed it for 3 years and we are still saving £174 from the original amount per month.
Hoping that we will have more cash in 3 years time.

Finally had a pool empty enough to start trying front crawl this morning. Went better than expected, lasted much longer than earlier attempts and seemed to almost manage the breathing. Quick exhale/inhale on every third stroke, alternating sides, is that a good idea?
However, my right ear is now blocked. Much more water sloshing about the head compared to breast stroke. Earplugs doesn't work for me, tried a good few. Would a swimming cap help?
Yes, Bilateral is a good idea from the start. If you can do it from the start, weldone.
Give it a good shake to the right, it'll come out. I do still get it occassionally.
Cap may help, if you can get it to cover your ears.
Weldone. :) -
I keep having a re-occurring dream about this swimming pool complex, there are 2 indoor pools, one is like a free dive pit (scary deep) with rock ledges around the outside and plants and the other is like 1 lane up 1 lane back and then you swim up like a log flume and down the other side like a water fall.
It's Ace, but I really want to do laps in the dream and i keep getting frustrated cos im not swimming enough and people are too slow and playing. I walk around trying each different pool to see which is the quietest....last night I stopped to play some cards with some old peeps, one of which was smoking a cigar and a woman who had something on the table.... maybe a silver tea pot or something, she had won it....The 3rd pool is outdoors and it's always cold but the sun is shining and there i can swim.... I can go back into the dream if i wake up too.....
I love dreams. -
