FTW.
Correct. FWIW, the nice chap on Whitecross St markets has the 8" wide-opening model (9031?) for £14, which is about as good as the online prices when last I checked.

it is not actually against the law to overtake on a blind hill or corner, the highway code just says DO NOT rather than MUST NOT ?
The driver would have a hard time claiming they weren't driving without due care if they hit something, however, since by definition they're moving at speed into space they can't possibly see.

A pal of mine has one of these and loves it: http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/ebwPNLqrymode.a4p?f_ProductID=12412&f_FullProductVersion=1&f_SupersetQRY=C416&f_SortOrderID=1&f_bct=c012372c012370
Pretty much the same as the Courier S1ngle which a couple of colleagues have bought, which seems very solid transport. -

Finished building up the Webster TT frame I bought on here a while back. It's currently somewhat overgeared (49x15) because I left the 18-tooth sprocket I had for it at the office and had to fit the only one I had handy. Rear hub is a Royce 130mm job as I didn't want to respace the lovely frame. Bars are Cinelli 66/44 with 1A Stem, from eBay (seller** **adzw_33 who was apparently on the GB track squad and has a beautiful custom Raleigh track frame currently going for £200 BTW). -

I have, from memory, a pair of stock Fuji Track cranks with Crank Bros Candy pedal (working) welded to the driveside and a pair of Crank Bros eggbeaters NIB. Might be worth a punt if you feel like going clipless (they're probably the easiest clipless system to start with in town, moved on to the inevitable Time ATACs now).

Well, yes, but he's not original or really insightful. He's unappealing because he is a typical media solipsist. Things only become important when they affect him. And having become, in that way, truly important of course he has to tell us all about it. It's not enough for him to change, he has to be seen to change. His subject is not the real subject; he is the subject, he is what he actually finds interesting.
Accompanied as ever in these kind of risible 'experiments' by an overweening sense of self pity: "The first months of my brand-free life were hell" and "I was also forced to plan ahead." as well as justifying his basic shallowness and self-absorption with some cod-scientific pathology "I suffered from a condition known as obsessive branding disorder" He should have listened to his mother a lot earlier in life.Read this thread the other night and wanted to post something along exactly these lines. Thank you.

So this Golf driver;
[]Ran over a cyclist
[]Threatened to shoot him
[*]Petrol bombed his (mates?) house.Is he going for cunt of the year award or something?
Speaking as a former resident of the general area, the former two behaviours wouldn't really make him stand out amongst the drivers of black Golfs locally. The actual shooting and petrol bombing are a brave bid for the title though.

A good quality bag will make your loaded trips by bike safer and more comfortable for years...when you break down £2OO or even £3OO into the number of journeys you use them for that is still a bargain...And yet nobody questions spending £1OO+ on booze and clubs over a weekend? Or thousands of pounds on cigarettes over years.
+1
For which reason I await the new large Grobag with great interest :-)
