Yeah you can squeeze a 2.2 in there, I have scrubbed away some of the paintwork on the chainstays and fork legs though, even with 2.1 – south downs mud is to blame I think, which won't be such an issue in Morocco.
Definitely not surprised it's now October, initially I was disappointed but lately I've been more of the mind that I could really use that extra time to train. I'll be able to do Frontier 300 and hopefully a few more things beforehand now, which will definitely benefit me as I've not done any events of this kind before.

well, we were gonna get there in the end:
I'm riding on a Bombtrack Hook EXT-C. Several people used this bike last year, however reading a bunch of race reports it seems like everyone on a gravel bike would pick a hardtail if they were to ride AMR again. My hardtail is naaat suitable, so I will have to stick with the Hook. I guess I'd better spend as much time trail running as riding in preparation for this....

I really like that stuff, but the cost makes it a rare treat. For 90% of purposes I’ve taken to using thinly sliced smoked tofu as a bacon replacement, in pasta or on pizza, even in sandwiches. The This stuff is the only one that I’d go for when aiming for that thick white bread with brown sauce thing, though

Has anybody recently picked up a cache battery that supports through-charging? The Zendure, as recommended a year ago, seems to require USB-C charging according to the manual (smallest current model). I guess that might mean it'll just charge really slowly from a Sinewave Revolution.
I've tried a small Anker one which works, but seems to reset when I come to a stop at a junction for eg and the Revolution stops charging it. The battery then carries on charging, but it doesn't send power out without pushing the button again. Bit of a PITA.

Yeah sorry, bit of a pointless ask. It's all pretty standard, but as far as I can tell the sink was partially plumbed in before the unit was fitted. The joint that came apart is just below the lower hole, so with one arm under the unit and the other holding the bit in the photo, I rejoined the pieces. It seems like a quick fix would be to drill another hole in the back board, or enlarge the existing one, so I can dab some adhesive on the join and all is well.
Aside from the water under the floorboards, but I really don't want to get into that.

Not to mention this absolute gem of web design - http://www.ats-speeddrive.com/tpl/all_sd_tc.html

I've just discovered that while tidying under the sink the other day, we knocked a pvc pipe joint out. Two days of washing up sink-fulls of water draining through the floorboards, which isn't ideal, but I've managed to jam the parts back together and it's not leaking.
Obviously I still want to glue this up, but I don't think I can get the unit out without removing the sink, so I'll probably have to attempt some keyhole surgery. Is this a really bad idea?

Went over to our plot today to check if last night's storm has ruined the newly installed beanpole structure. That was all good, however it seems the warnings we'd been given about flooding were not as exaggerated as we'd hoped.
I think it's basically due to the high clay content of the soil, so I think we'll be making the raised bed there 3 or 4 decking boards high. Has anyone on here successfully created some kind of trench system to encourage draining?

Heads up to anyone not storing bikes inside-inside: my mum's house (and others on her street) was done last night for the bikes, in Putney. She chased the bloke off and he hopped on a moped with my brother's hardtail, presumably to stash it in a van or something round the corner.
They smashed through the side passage door and then cut a motorbike chain, so fairly determined.
After something for my little brother, he is too light to activate the oil-and-coil job on his bike at the moment. A 100mm SoloAir Recon would probably be the one but I'm sure there are other options out there.
Anybody got anything this outdated lying around?
