Re the saddles (I assume you mean concor supercorsa), I have both which I need to get around to selling. Both great, both too narrow for my backside. I guess they will either fit or they wont. If you want A NOS yeloow concor in leather, let me know. Also Have a Brooks Swift in honey with very few miles on it.

How much would you be looking for for the Brooks Swift? Could definitely be interested. Yeah i did mean the Supercorsa but unfortunately yellow will definitely not fit the bike i'm looking to put it on.

Out of interest, sure i'll bring it up tonight as well but thought might as well ask now, anyone got any input as to the qualities of the Brooks Swift (chrome as can't stretch to ti) or San Marco Corsa? Looking to get one of them for christmas but can't make up my mind so anyone who's got good/bad experience of either would be appreciated.

Oh there was no hill walking on my part, just very painful, tired hill cycling!

I also learnt that getting beer spilt on your trainers gets your feet very cold very quickly. They have just about thawed out now though!

Good to get back to norths last night, hopefully Swain's won't be quite so painful next week.

I will grab the crank tool and the callipers and then head to the pub, probably be more like 7.30 by the time I get there.

Crank tool needs a big hex wrench - shall I bring that as well?

As my shoulder is finalyl fixed enough to make it up swaines, i will be returning to norths tonight. I also pass my flat where there is a crank puller so can easily pick it up if it's a problem for Sasmon to get his. Instead of beer/hotchoc, any chance of borrowing a vernier calliper? Unlikely but thought i'd ask.

Lovely looking bikes. Any chance of coming to have a look at them as by bro's after a bike for christmas he's 5'10 so should fit him fine but he'd want to have a look and take for a spin if possible. If so where in London are you based?

Looking to spend about £80-120, single speed or fixed preferably but if someone's got a geared bike in the price range would be interested in that too.

Was responding to the original thread. not everything is all about you, my comment *wasn't *directed at your hijack.

Fuck off. I never even said in my OP that i called him a wanker. in fact, until he got aggressive with me i was very careful (although forceful as i was pissed off) about my language. I was just really angry and still a bit shook up and he clearly WAS a wanker hence the thread title.

Re "hijacking" of the thread, bollocks. All other stories have been related to the OP, just people sharing similar incidents. Pistanator, glad to hearyou & you're bike are OK. i was in a similar situation the other day, except it was a silver merc. the guy actually chased after me and assaulted me. case details currently with the plod - who are fucking useless and haven't actually done anything at all about it (like, contact me for a statement?). i'll put more info in another thread at some point in the future, but currently waiting to see if i hear anythign at all from plod, otherwise i've got a lawyer keen to get involved...

It was suggested in a thread last week that we should try to be less cynical and not create a "them against us" scenario and i'm giving it a go because i'm pretty sure who'll win that one! I know we all have our opinions but as edmundro proves, not all van drivers are bad drivers and cunts so maybe hurling abuse isn't the best opening salvo.

So i'm riding in this morning minding my own business when some guy in a van overtakes me then immediately pulls in to park in the bus stop. Without indicating. I manage to emergancy stop and knock on his window to give him a peice of my mind as to how dangerous what he's just done is. He gets out and has a right go at ME because apparently he's not going that fast, i've got brakes so it's my problem and i shouldn't be getting annoyed with him. I point out that legally he has to indicate, speed really has nothing to do with it and it's damn dangerous but he just repeats (getting more aggressive) that it's up to me to brake and cyclists should be watching out for cars. At this point i realise i'm not going to get anywhere with this so get back on my bike and head off.

Rant over, sorry but i just can't believe what an arrogant cunt this fella was!!!
