Vittoria Randonneurs, especially in the wet, cheap but take a low PSI! I run mine to 100 and the sidewalls hold out fine!
I would recommend something a bit more road, like a Gatorskin, a Rubino or a Hardcase up front!
I rocked some Bontrager Hardcases in 700c x 28 which were fine, but a bit slippy in the wet! I didn't really like them, but still have one on the front!
If you are skidding, don't buy anything under a 28c as they will be too thin and will not take a lot of skidding. Also cyclocross tyres are good.
Yeah, guess it's going to be a trade-off, I like 25c at high pressure, nice and fast on the roads... although prob shit for skids. Might just get a set or Gators and go easy on the skidding.
Sorry can't tonight - was looking forward to a ride out, only to be told I'm off to spend tonight and tomorrow in Southwold with other halfs friends... going to see how many X5's and A4's I can spot.
Put on my first ever bar tape - had to have a few goes, but looks da shit.
Yes, it's white, and I don't think it'll stay too pimp for long. Now waiting for my Dia Comp Dirty Harry lever (white) to come to complete this round of updates. :D
Got the RB018 in the gunmetal finish... That Cinelli bar tape is sweet, but I can't find anywhere that's stocking it yet, so will prob go with some of the Fizik Microtek.
yeah - should be able to do a lift no worries... Might not do both laps, my 4X bike it a bit shit at XC, but might spend an hour playing on the shocker.
Sounds good. How about a relay sprint through the city center - from top of St Stevens through to the Artichoke at the end of Magdalen St. Loads of different directions riders could take.
