Some beautiful tributes:
Sampdoria wrote on Friday in an emotional article: “You gave us so
much, we gave you so much: yes, it was love, reciprocal, infinite. A
love that will not die today with you. We will continue to love and
adore you because – as you well know – you are better than Pelé. And
because, despite everything, our beautiful season is destined to never
end.”They added: “We will remember you as a boy and a relentless
centre-forward, because heroes are all young and beautiful and you,
since that summer of 1984, have been our hero. Strong and beautiful,
with that 9 printed on the back and the Italian flag sewn on the
heart.”(Stolen from the Guardian, but what a lovely sentiment!)

Am I reading right that John White shoes are made in the far east?

But probably both lead to a better outcome than an open spigot of funding.
I think we'll have to agree to disagree, I simply don't think this is the case. We'll be a country full of business studies graduates!
Throughout history people have said there is a part of society that doesn't need to be as well educated as the rest - the moves for compulsory primary schooling, secondary schooling and FE have all been pushed back initially.
When has there ever been a solid case made (that doesn't hinge on the cost) that people can be too well educated?Surely the decision to further their education needs to be made by the people themselves, and that isn't a fair and equal choice when there are any costs attached to education.

The problem with a graduate tax is it adds a price to education that doesn't need to be there, it will always add a mental hurdle to people from low incomes going to university. We need to uncouple the relationship between education and cost, as the key value of HE isn't measured in £.
The only way to start to do this is free education for all, paid for from general taxation. -

I've got an omnium mini, its my daily bike - my kid sits on the rack on the front on the school run, and I use it to get shopping etc so i don't need to drive the car.
If you put A LOT of weight on the front, you get a bit of a shimmy at high speeds, last week I had a cast iron bench on the front (in pieces) and it didn't like it, but was very heavy.Everyday riding is great - the short wheel base reminds me of my polo bike, endo turns are a piece of piss.
I got mine from them too
